Gen 6 Johnny Glocks vs Tactical trigger vs OEM Polished/Not

Gen 6 Johnny Glocks vs Tactical trigger vs OEM Polished/Not

TLDR: Johnny Glocks vex shoe with their trigger bar paired with either tactical trigger’s minus connector (smooth rolling break) or enhanced minus connector (defined wall, crisp break) feel best.

Gen 6 Glock 17

Combinations tested: JG vex shoe/bar with JG 3.5 minus, tactical trigger aluminum shoe/bar with tactical trigger minus connector and enhanced minus connector.

Pictured is chart of pull weights in order performed:
Oem
Oem polished
Swapping to JG polished striker assembly w/ 4.5 lbs striker spring
Swapping to JG plunger and reduced power spring
Swapping to JG vex shoe and trigger bar.
Testing with the 3 different connectors.

Chart also includes measurements of the various combinations trigger to back of large back-strap.

Tactical trigger shoe/bar with tactical connectors without a doubt more tactile reset.

JG vex shoe/bar paired with tactical triggers connectors without a doubt best combo’s for smooth feel whether wanting rolling break or a more crisp break.

Wish JG would sell and list whatever connector is used for their defensive and competition vex 6 systems.

Tactical trigger shoe noticeably wider with square edges. I prefer the JG vex shoe with the slimmer and rounded edges.

No need to get atlas angled bushing kit to prevent over-insertion

Pic 2 - stock mag & bushings. No pressure on bottom of mag.
Pic 3 - stock mag & bushings. Pressure upward on bottom of mag. Decent amount of travel after locking.
Pic 4 - stock mag & bushings. Barely clear ejector.
Pic 5 - stock mag & atlas angled bushings. Dummy round makes contact with ejector.
Pic 6 - atlas 140mm mag stock bushings. No pressure just locked in.
Pic 7 - pressure upward. No movement after locking in place.
Pic 8 - clearance of atlas mag and ejector.

3.5” prodigy compact

To keep things brief: no need to get atlas angled bushings to prevent over-insertion. In fact made stock mags worse (clearance wise, see pics), and no change to atlas mag (140mm). Atlas mag is a superior magazine (surprise surprise)

Black magazine is stock 15 round.

Stainless is atlas 140mm.

With atlas angled bushings installed the very small clearance I had with stock magazine disappeared. Stock mag with dummy round made contact. Made no difference to atlas magazine. After locking in didn’t move up and down like stock mags with or without their bushing kit.
