POSITION OVERVIEW
APEX Valet Trash Services is seeking dependable, professional, and hardworking individuals to join our field operations team as APEX Collectors (ACs).
APEX Collectors are responsible for providing consistent doorstep trash collection services at assigned multifamily communities while maintaining APEX service, safety, and appearance standards.
This is a part-time evening position with two schedule options available. Paid training is provided to prepare new APEX Collectors for their assigned properties, service procedures, equipment, and safety requirements.

Exact service days and assigned properties will be determined based on operational needs.
PAID TRAINING
All new APEX Collectors receive paid training before transitioning into their regular assigned service schedule.
Training may include:
APEX service standards and expectations
Property-specific service procedures
Collection routes and disposal locations
Proper trash and cardboard collection procedures
Equipment and PPE usage
Safety procedures
APEX reporting and communication procedures
Hands-on field training
Quality-control expectations
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Arrive at assigned property on time and prepared for service
Collect resident trash bags from designated doorstep containers
Collect eligible cardboard boxes and designated items
Follow the assigned property collection route
Service each assigned floor, hallway, breezeway, or building
Transport collected waste to the property’s designated dumpster, compactor, trash room, or disposal area
Follow the APEX top-floor-to-bottom-floor collection procedure when applicable
Ensure assigned service areas are completely cleared before leaving the property
Maintain clean and orderly trash rooms and disposal areas
Report property issues, service concerns, safety hazards, and resident violations through the appropriate APEX reporting system
Properly use and maintain all APEX-issued equipment
Follow all APEX safety procedures and service standards
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
Be dependable and punctual
Be comfortable working in a team
Be available for evening/night shifts
Be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Be able to walk stairs, hallways, breezeways, and multiple buildings throughout a shift
Be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Have a smartphone with reliable data service
Have reliable transportation to and from assigned properties
Wear required APEX uniform and safety equipment
Maintain professional conduct while on client properties
APEX SERVICE EXPECTATIONS
Every APEX Collector is expected to provide service according to the APEX Standard.
This includes:
No missed bags
No missed boxes
No skipped floors, hallways, or buildings
No unauthorized missed shifts
Consistent attendance and punctuality
Professional appearance and conduct
Proper handling of company equipment
Accurate completion of required service and issue reporting
EQUIPMENT & PPE
APEX Collectors may be required to use:
APEX safety vest
Protective work gloves
Closed-toe work shoes
APEX communication equipment
Smartphone
Property-specific collection equipment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a physically active field position. Collectors may service enclosed apartment communities, garden-style/breezeway communities, or multi-building properties.
The position may require extended walking, climbing stairs, lifting trash bags and boxes, pushing or pulling collection equipment, and traveling between buildings and designated disposal locations.
