This is good, but it kinda sucks in a way

For contex; I'm a very niche fic writer. Most of the time doing rarepairs in almost dead fandoms. Hell, most of my fics are STILL either the first or of the few first search results in their tag.

And it's been good, even though the fandoms are very inactive I get 5-6 comments per fic and they are filled with lot of love. And I enjoy writing them too.

But damn man, after trying to write for a main stream fandom, they just shower you with hits, kudos and comments like there's no tomorrow.

It kinda sucks that now I'm back to my "normal" after experiencing this level of interaction.

Just wanted to vent a little, thanks for reading.

About to insert the "Age Gap" tag in my fic like the iceberg hit the towers

Writing for a fandom that is filled with absolute newbies in internet affairs, and from the discourse I see on Twitter and here, for such a woke fandom, they are very, very prude (Which honestly, is the case with most big new ones)

And in a popular fic I'm writing, I'm about to reveal there's a 30+ age difference between the teen MC and the woman he is dating.

So yeah. Fully bracing myself for a few hate comments and maybe a one or two accusations of having my computer checked if you know what I mean.
