I might be hung for this, and I don’t have a better title, but I believe Cory’s presence actively hinders the manga’s progress. Initially, I felt jealous because I planned to create a manga and thought it would be effortless to gain widespread recognition with a dedicated fan base. However, as time passed, I realized that his involvement actually hinders the manga’s development.

Recently, I watched a clip at Momocon (which I wish I attended) and noticed that everyone was hyping up Cory, which is understandable. However, this made me think about a problem. An overwhelming majority of people may simply have the manga because of his name and rarely engage with it. The trailer generated a lot of hype, and his return video also received a lot of attention, but then there was a sudden silence afterward.

Then, one YouTuber came out with a critique, and some of the people who reacted to the trailer either agreed with the critique or admitted that they hadn’t even read any of the volumes yet(maybe just one or two if I recall correctly)

In the Cory subreddit, many people were unaware that volume 4 had been released, and we’re still waiting for the 5th volume. Some people assume that it’s volume 3, while others assume that volume 4 is the
One we’re waiting for or some didn’t even get past the 1st or 2nd volume.

How much of this is due to loving the manga or feeling obligated to finish it? Am I just overthinking?
