What are your favorite special events on board and why?

Title says all, every cruise line/ship has their own methods of hosting events for crew, bigger cruise lines put more effort into making more events while some medium to small cruise lines only allow a single crew party per month and that's it.

Ex: Crew Parties, Karaoke Nights, Open deck party, mooring deck/marshaling events, sports tournaments, special food nights, waterslides, painting competitions, crew talent show, trivia nights... just to name a few. Crew shore excursions could be a thing as well but we know that no one has time for that.

So, from your days on board, what were the events you liked the most and why?

Shiplife salaries - How accurate it is?

While browsing the web many already have seen the #SHIPLIFE salary comparison (https://shiplife.org/salaries/) table and I've shared the link here as well sometimes.

Came to ask if in your own personal opinion, if this comparison is up to date and accurate or not at all when it comes to the base salary (without tips/bonuses).

And while at it, if you think that providing this kind of information (that many think as "confidential") is helpful or not at all.

In my own opinion, I think it helps to set expectations for candidates and even passengers alike, as many people think that cruise ship workers makes endless amounts of cash everyday when the reality is totally opposite. Overall, I think people should normalize sharing information like those more often especially in an anonymous community like reddit.

I’ve came across the published salaries for Corazul Cruceros on another platform, now wondering if anyone applied to a different position not included on this list and is willing to share salaries.

>> Corazul Cruceros is a new cruise line that will begin operations on the second semester.
