I’ll take my beating but hear me out.
The lineage is real. Willie to Waylon to the cosmic cowboy movement to the Dead to the jam world Goose now inhabits — that’s not a stretch, that’s a direct bloodline.
Willie has spent 60 years refusing genre boundaries, playing with anyone who was honest and could actually play. Goose qualifies on both counts in spades.
Willie is 91. The window is not infinite.
This isn’t about optics or a career move. It’s about two generations of American music finding each other before the chance is gone.
