Sensitive skin and I finally realized less is more with skincare

My skin is super sensitive and randomly decides to freak out sometimes. I never know if it’s stress, skin feeling hot, or something I used…but once it starts, the redness and tiny breakouts get really bad 😭
I used to go crazy adding every soothing product I could find, but it actually made my skin feel more irritated and stuffy. So these days I’ve switched to keeping my routine as minimal as possible.
I stick to just a few things that work well for me. Normally I just pat on some toner (One thing centella), but when things get bad I soak a cotton pad with it after washing my face and leave it on for about 5 minutes. It calms everything down so much faster!
For me, doing the bare minimum has been the real game changer. Of course everyone’s skin is different, so this is just what’s working for me right now. Not saying it’s the only answer lol
