Has anyone opted for this urine test over a biopsy?
49 year old male - PSA: 4.1
MRI was clean. PI Rads 2
PSA density - .12
% free PSA = 17.4%
Urologist still wants me to get a biopsy but also said we could do this urine test.
Any insights would be appreciated. Thx

First PSA test in 2017 at age 40 = 1.7
Just got one in February of 2026 = 3.6
Retested 3 months later May 2026 = 4.0
I also had a negative urine test in February which could be impacting PSA levels:
Abnormal WBC Esterase
Measures the levels of leukocyte esterase, an enzyme present in most white blood cells, which indicates the presence of white blood cells in urine. White blood cells in the urine may indicate infection or inflammation of the urinary tract, among other causes.
Trace
Reference Interval: Negative
I have an appointment with urologist today.
I was just curious what you experienced folks think of my situation and if you had any advice.
Thanks!
