I guess even a guide dog isn’t enough these days

I guess even a guide dog isn’t enough these days

Professionally trained guide dog working in tandem with medical alert dachshunds. I am suprised The Seeing Eye is okay with this.

“Crowd control” at ComicCon

Can someone explain why is this necessary with a dog like this big ass shepherd? Who is really going to
trample a dog that size and creep up behind you?

9 yo child stimming service dog with e-collar

“Illness hit the family, but the team is back.

Nine year old Boy and his service dog in training are back in class after some illness in the family. Dog had forgotten his “under,” so here you see Boy patiently working with him to help him remember. Boy and Dog both are learning how to be a team again.

His job will be things like deep pressure therapy when school and life feel big. Both boy and dog are learning how to handle hard moments together with a coach, and that’s exactly what you’re seeing here. They’re looking at the challenges ahead and learning how to cope with them instead of run from them.”

“I know my rights!” but can’t provide an example of a task

Original caption:

“I am considered permanently disabled by SSA. I have a Disability Access pass and have proof of disability. Peaches is a service dog and meets the ADA guidelines.

Recorded is an interaction with a Grant Teton National Park Volunteer.

This volunteer pursued me on foot and acted as if they were a federally sworn Park Ranger.

I have been to several National Forests and Parks without issue with Peaches over the past year while interacting with actual Park and Forest Rangers.

This is an ADA rights violation. He claims to have the right to do what he is doing.

Any sane person would have stopped much sooner. He was trying to cause harm to me, my life and my dog.

If anyone can identify this man, please let me know. I Already have admission of guilt from the NPS Superintendent. This man clearly has an agenda and I am pursuing legal action.

Any comments ignoring the facts while blaming me or doubting me will be ignored, deleted and blocked.”

Oh brother…

Bracing on a 1 y/o shelter lab

Saw some clips of this on TV this morning. The young man has muscular dystrophy and cannot use a cane because of the repetitive picking up and setting motion, so they settled on a dog as a solution instead for bracing and pulling himself up by the dog’s vest. Absolutely wild. No, this is not safe for the dog and mainstream channels should not be promoting it!

How do we feel about this?

Seems like redundant technology to me, but personally I do not have PTSD so I don’t want to step on any toes.

As an aside, I think it’s funny that this organization will use a vibration collar for this purpose but the use of other vibration/e-collars is considered abusive and unnecessary by much of the industry.

My dog is my entire personality

Seeking champion agility prospect with proven titles, SAR potential, also technically qualified for a service dog so would be great if they could do that too. But they need to be neutral, have no behavioral or training issues so they can live in a dorm as an ESA with a working line GSD, also an ESA. “I can 100 percent fulfill a working breed”. Don’t worry, they’re a dog trainer!

We’ve lost the plot. I hope whoever responds to this at least has the sense to ask for references.
