Wanted a small body acoustic with comfort in mind since my dread isn’t comfortable to play for extended periods and set my sights on the GS mini. I tried the sapele, mahogany, koa and rosewood in store and just fell in love with how the rosewood sounds - it’s incredible how loud and resonant it is for the size!

I still love it - but now that I brought it home, I realize that when I compare it to my trusty dreadnought, it’s very bright in comparison. I think some of it is to do with the heavy strumming hand I usually use. I definitely still want to keep it because it just sounds so beautiful - but if anyone else has experienced getting a Taylor after playing a non-Taylor for so long, will I eventually get used to the brightness?
