I’m quite young and new to Volvos, any help would be appreciated. I’ve had my 2010 Volvo V50 1.6D for about a month and have had “reduced engine performance” come up a few times. Latest time I lost all throttle at one point and it would occasionally idle at 1500 rpm, but only if my foot wasn’t on the break pedal. I scanned for codes and got P193b and P1577, both pointing at accelerator pedal position sensor issues. I’ve had a look at the accelerator pedal and it’s only a year old! All the pins look fine and I can’t see anything wrong. I’m obviously wary of getting a new pedal as it’s a genuine part that’s been put on and shouldn’t be faulty after a year? Is there anything obvious that I’m missing or should check?
