What's happening in Delhi right now

There's a protest going on at Delhi's Jantar Mantar for reforms in the education system and accountability from the government. In addition to this, a march happened yesterday where the protesters wanted to rally towards Parliament to present their plea to the Members of Parliament. Since it is the beginning of the 2026 monsoon session, Day 1 itself saw an adjournment in both houses. All mainstream media, including those favoring the ruling party, didn't care about the so-called CJP protest or student movement — but all of a sudden, Parliament adjourned, and lathi charges were carried out brutally all across Jantar Mantar. They didn't check whether it was a woman or a child; they used their lathis so brutally on them, in the name of Section 163 of the BNSS. We can't blame the police personnel or law-and-order officials — then whom do we blame? We have to blame ourselves for electing our representatives, who are now turning against us and trying to suppress a movement not seen in the last decade. Let's see how it turns out, and hope for the best.

I feel trapped in a cycle of doomscrolling, isolation, and low productivity. How do I restart my life?

Hey everyone,

I feel like I urgently need a digital detox or some kind of reset from constantly chasing instant pleasure.

Recently, I have been under immense pressure, and it shows in the amount of time I spend doomscrolling and endlessly searching the web. I genuinely want to make a fresh start, but I do not know how to return to the productive version of myself.

All of this has drained a lot of my energy, and it affects me throughout the day. I am not sure what is causing it. Maybe it is my mindset, social pressure, fear of failure, or even my fear of becoming like the character Sitarama Rao(Asamarduni jeva yatra novel main character).

I feel as though I am entering a “dark mode” in my life. I have isolated myself and created boundaries between myself and other people. Even small things, like constantly choosing to wear black T-shirts, seem to reflect my current mood, although I genuinely like wearing them too.

Growing up, I was surrounded by people who judged me and told me that I could not achieve anything. However, there is still a voice inside me saying:

“You can do better. You can improve. You can become a good person.”

I have tried starting a journal several times, but I usually stop after a week. The same pattern happens with many things in my life: I begin with motivation, lose consistency, and eventually give up.

I also feel that Instagram Reels are one of the biggest reasons behind my doomscrolling. I am considering uninstalling Instagram or completely avoiding Reels for a while. Has removing Instagram Reels helped anyone reduce screen time, regain focus, or feel mentally better?

Still, I believe that one day I will get back on track and become productive again. I do not want to lose hope.

The images I shared reflect my current situation, especially my unusually high mobile usage. I am posting this because I want to be honest about how badly I am struggling with screen time and productivity.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

What is your average daily mobile usage?

Did uninstalling Instagram or avoiding Reels help you?

How did you reduce doomscrolling?

How do you stay consistent with journaling or productive habits?

What helped you feel connected to life again?

I would genuinely appreciate your advice and perspectives.

Struggling to actually apply PYQs to my preparation—how do you guys do it?

Hey everyone,I’ve reached the stage in my prep where I’m regularly solving PYQs, but I feel like I’m stuck. I'm not really sure how to apply the takeaways/patterns throughout my daily study routine, and I'm honestly in a bit of a dilemma on how to bridge that gap.Could you share your best strategies for analyzing and using PYQs effectively? I’d love to see a few different approaches so I can pick the one that best fits my study style. Thanks in advance!
