Kittens came back with mama!

❤️{{UPDATE!}}❤️
The kittens must’ve had TOO MUCH FUN on the porch yesterday, because they came back for round 2 in my tore up garden (and they brought mama this time, plus one more orange sibling to play with!)

However, I know for certain that I saw another tiny (all black) kitten and a larger Siamese colored kitten in their group of 6 playing last night…so, hopefully they’re still just hiding under the deck.🥺🤞

As for all of the wonderful/incredibly helpful advice I received on the previous post, I’ll give a quick overview of my plan (so far), here:

I was actually already in the process of fully enclosing the bottom part of my deck and turning it into a little sunroom (right when the precious kitten avalanche hit 🥰) that whole process will only take about 3-4 days to finish.
So, I’m going to try corralling all of them inside that area (which I think will freak the mom out less than inside my actual house?) in order to start slowly socializing them with humans, for the next few weeks, until the “vet-mobile”/cat rescue is in the local area.
At which point they’ll take over, spay/neuter them, take them back to their facility and find them all happy furever homes.

That’s my current battle plan.
But I’m new to all of this, so by all means—please let me know if I missed something vital!

Visited by 3 feral kittens

I had suspected that a known local feral (beautiful Manx) had a litter under my front porch several weeks ago, but I didn’t try looking for them, because I didn’t want to risk scaring them off.
So I decided to make my back porch (the covered/safer option) look as enticing as possible, for when the kittens were older…
Well, it seems my plan paid off!
While working on my yard/organizing project today, I heard a ruckus coming from the porch (a cup of BBQ utensils getting knocked over) and I see these little rascals running all around the porch playing!
Obviously every thought of “work” immediately was abandoned, in favor of “kitty observation mode”…

Sorry for the terrible, wonky, blown out lighting!
It was the exact WRONG time of day for filming on a covered deck and my phone was fighting for its life, on which subject to film/light/focus on/etc. (I have no real excuse for it being in portrait mode however…I was just so excited about seeing the kittens that my brain stopped working🤣).
