In need of advice

Applying this cycle and trying to gauge how realistic my chances are for med schools.

Stats are:
- 501 MCAT
- 3.68 GPA with a strong upward trend

Earlier in college I went through a traumatic experience that affected my academics for a period of time, but my grades improved a lot afterward and I addressed it in my application.

Other parts of my app:
- ~1,800 clinical hours (ED tech + EMT)
- ~3,000 service hours
- ~150 shadowing hours
- Biomedical science and psychology double major, minor in chemistry
- Chemistry TA and peer tutor for 7 classes
- 4 Research + conference presentations (Public health and neuroscience; will be submitting original public health research for publication later this year)
- Several leadership-heavy extracurriculars
- I run a student advocacy/crisis support organization
- Medical internship abroad in Portugal
- A lot of my volunteering centers around advocacy and rural food access initiatives
- strong personal statement and LORs (even LORs from professors that I didn’t do as well in their classes)

I’m from a rural area and am especially interested in community/rural medicine.

I know my MCAT is on the lower side for MD, but I’m hoping the rest of my application helps balance things out. Curious what people think realistically, especially anyone who applied with similar stats.
