Need help figuring out this weird cyan “spine” glitch in PCVR
I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while and I’m completely stumped. Every single time I horizontally dismember an NPC through the torso, this weird cyan/blue chain-looking object comes out of the body. It looks like a bunch of cyan spheres/segments connected together, almost like a spine, but obviously not a normal spine.
The really weird part is that it’s fully physical. I can grab it, pick it up, use telekinesis on it, and it can even get caught on my weapon. If I hit or smash it, blood comes out of it. It also has the exact same shape/length every time.
Even stranger, if I completely delete/despawn the NPC, the cyan chain stays in the world and remains fully interactable. So it seems to be some kind of separate object that gets spawned when the torso is cut.
It happens EVERY SINGLE TIME I do a horizontal torso dismemberment. It doesn't matter which NPC I'm fighting.
Mods I'm using/testing:
Dismemberment+
Carnage Reborn
Realistic Bleeding
Higher Quality Decaps
Dismemberment Pool Fix
I originally thought Dismemberment+ was causing it, but I had this problem before I ever installed Dismemberment+.
I've also tested the mods individually. I got the cyan chain with Dismemberment+ by itself, and I also get it with Carnage Reborn by itself. So it doesn't seem to be something that requires my other gore mods.
Things I've already tried:
Turning Bloom all the way to 0
Removing/disabling Dismemberment+
Testing different torso-dismemberment mods
Testing Dismemberment+ by itself
Testing Carnage Reborn by itself
Removing the other gore/bleeding mods
Removing/re-adding my mods
Testing with different mod combinations
Fresh/no-mod testing before adding the torso-splitting mod back
The issue still occurs as soon as I use a mod that allows horizontal torso dismemberment
I've basically run out of ideas at this point. 😭
Does anyone know what this thing actually is or what could be causing it? It almost seems like some kind of torso/spine/gore prefab that's being spawned incorrectly, because it's an actual physical, damageable object rather than just a visual glitch.
Picture attached showing exactly what I'm talking about.
