Is this guy okay?

Hey noodle pals,

Just picked up my first group of kuhlis this afternoon (yay!).

Currently acclimating the group before adding to my tank, and noticed one little guy who looks kind of emaciated?

The first photo is the guy in question. Second and third photos are more of him compared to the group.

His body looks a bit small for his head, and I'm wondering if he might be sick or if this is normal for a very young kuhli. He's overall the smallest in the bunch.

Any help, tips, or thoughts are welcome!

Inaccurate refund from customer service?? 🇨🇦

Ordered from the Canadian site, during SAS. Sadly, this morning the tracking for one of my orders was updated to "Attempted delivery - refused due to packaging issue". I have no idea what happened, I never saw the package, delivery was not attempted, so I must have been refused by the delivery company.

Anyhow, I reach out to customer service via phone to inquire. They quickly agree to reship the items that are in stock and refund the remainder, okay cool... but this is where things get strange.

In addition to the basic communication issues (like being cut off mid-sentence and put on hold arbitrarily) this rep seemed completely incapable of providing an accurate refund.

When I double checked the math on the refund he was offering it completely excluded taxes?? And when I asked about this I was told taxes are non-refundable??

After a very stern response from me, and multiple attempts trying to tell me they weren't included in refunds, he finally tried to reassure me they would be included. Despite not being able to tell me an accurate refund total that included taxes.

I asked to be escalated, because this is obviously unacceptable, and he straight up refused for several minutes, saying no one was available. I said I'd wait and he came back saying someone would be available in 2-3 minutes. It's been much longer than that and I'm still on hold.

So, has anyone else dealt with this?? Are any of you out there double checking the math on your refunds and coming across discrepancies or having problems with accountability from CS reps?

This is absolutely the most WILD interaction I've ever had from any customer service rep with any company in my 40 years on this earth. I know it's only a couple bucks difference for me, but a couple bucks x thousands of transactions daily for a global company is a lot of money.

Am I leech?

Cross-posted from r/Aquariums

Wondering wtf this thing is?

I found a smaller different one gliding on the glass this morning, and posted it to r/plantedtank. Mixed reviews of planaria vs leeches vs detritus worm.

Then this afternoon, I came across this guy gliding his way across the sand. It's roughly 0.5-0.75cm long. Posted this one (and this video) to r/Aquariums and so far consensus is weird unusual leech, though I am somewhat skeptical.

Also, when I posted the first one in the morning, someone suggested I try cutting it, to see if it survived like a planaria would. Well that went terribly and I only managed to mangle it, and it continued to scoot around, albeit slower than before. When I dropped the second one in the container, when it eventually came across the now disabled but still alive one, it seemed to attack it? You can see this at the very end of the video.

I added a sacrificial ramshorn snail and a few neocaridina culls to this container to see what would happen, but no one seems phased by any of the others.

Does anyone have thoughts? Is this actually a leech?

Eggs left behind in a molt...

Thought this was interesting enough to post a photo for peeps to see.

Curious how common this is though, and what else besides ba water parameters might have caused it? Mine are fine, listed below.

Only a <5% water change two days ago, just needed some tank water to clean my filter sponges. So nothing big and destabilizing. Refilled with treated tap water, as usual.

Water parameters:

Temp: 23-25°C

PH: 7.4-7.6

Ammonia & Nitrite: 0

Nitrates: < 0.5 (yes, I'm cycled, I just have tons of water column feeder plants)

GH: 11

KH: 5

Tank mates: longfin zebra danios, neocaridina, orange river snails

Picture of tank for reference.

Injured shrimp? Will this heal? 😢

Just randomly noticed one of my shrimpies seems to have a giant injury or prolapse of some kind.. does anyone have any idea what this might be, or what may have caused it? It seems like an injury, and not a parasite? Water parameters and other details listed below.

For now, I've separated her into a mesh breeder box to keep her safe. But I'm wondering if this is something that can heal, should be treated, or if it's likely causing significant pain and I should just euthanize.

Any advice on how to proceed and keep her comfortable or ease any pain she might be in is much appreciated.
