Sony has started registering websites for Ramayana

ramayanamovie.net
ramayanariseofalegend.com
ramayanafilm.de

The first two are registered directly under Sony Pictures Entertainment. The .de domain appears to be for the German market.

So Jaipur is getting another IMAX.

Miraj Cinemas and IMAX India have officially confirmed an IMAX at PinkWalk, Jagatpura.

The multiplex will have 6 screens, including one IMAX screen, at Central Spine Scheme, Mahal Road.

This also appears to be the Jaipur location from Miraj’s earlier IMAX with Laser announcement.

With Pacific Mall also getting an IMAX, Jaipur is now looking at two IMAX theatres.

Quite a turnaround from having none.

PinkWalk — Jagatpura
Pacific Mall — Mansarovar

No opening date for Miraj yet. Just coming soon.

Told Rajasthan Police a woman could get run over. Their response? “100 pe call karo.”

Yesterday around 8 PM, I was coming back from the gym when I noticed a woman sitting right in the middle of the road near the crossing at RJ14 Restaurant.

She seemed mentally unwell and completely unaware of the traffic around her. It was a busy road, cars were constantly passing by, and it genuinely felt like she could get hit at any moment.

A little ahead, I noticed two policemen standing on the side of the road. One was a traffic policeman and the other was from the regular police.

I had already crossed them, but seeing how dangerous the situation was, I took a U turn and went back.
I told the traffic policeman, “Sir, wahan ek lady road ke beech mein baithi hai. Koi gaadi maar degi usko.”
He looked at me and casually replied,
“100 pe call karo.”

I genuinely thought I had heard him wrong.

I told him that I had specifically turned around to inform them because the woman was right there and could get seriously hurt.

His response was the same.
“100 pe call karo, unko bolo aane ke liye.”

You’re the police.
You’re already there.
Someone is sitting in the middle of heavy traffic, clearly not in a state to understand the danger she’s in, and when a citizen comes to you for help, your response is to tell them to call the police?

The traffic policeman wasn’t even occupied with managing traffic at that point. He was just standing there.
When he saw that I was getting visibly frustrated, his tone changed and he started explaining,
“Ye bhikhari hain, ye kisi ki nahi sunte…”

That response bothered me even more.
So what if she’s a bhikhari?
Does that make it okay to leave her sitting in the middle of a busy road until something happens?
Nobody was asking the police to solve her entire situation. Nobody expected some extraordinary act of kindness.
Just walk over and try to get a vulnerable woman out of moving traffic.

That’s it. That’s the bare minimum.
Eventually, some other people nearby stepped in, helped her stand up and got her off the road.

I left after telling the policemen that what I had asked them to do was literally the bare minimum expected from them.
I’m sure there are Rajasthan Police officers who genuinely care and do their jobs well. But encounters like this are exactly why ordinary people lose faith in the system.

I saw someone in immediate danger, took a U turn specifically to inform two police officers who were already there, and was told:
“100 pe call karo.”

If the police standing in front of you are telling you to call the police, what exactly is a citizen supposed to do?

Pathetic.
