i’m looking for a dog trainer in New West to do private sessions with my puppy. Preferably if they are willing to come to our home.

My 20 week old puppy had her second training class today. Her first one went ok, she was a bit overstimulated but at least was able to listen and focus at times. The other pups in the class were also barking and having a tough time.

The class today felt like a massive failure!! She wouldn’t calm down, barked pretty much non stop, didn’t listen to me and eventually didn’t care about the treats. It was so embarrassing because this week the other pups did so well - just sat there, listened to commands, didn’t bark. I was so embarrassed by the end of it, because no matter what she just wouldn’t stop. The trainer had us go for a little walk to reset and that did absolutely nothing.

She knows all of the commands when we’re at home or on walks, but just in these classes she can’t do it, at least with me. The trainer would come by and work with her and my pup would listen to it all but if it was me working with her, she would just run around and bark. I’m sad, embarrassed and feel so much guilt.

I have a 5 month old boxer puppy. We got her at 8 weeks and created a positive association with the crate, feeding meals, treats, etc. She never had an issue with the crate and would sleep 7-8 hours a night with the occasional wake up to go potty. I don’t know what happened but for the past week she absolutely hates being in the crate. She will continuously bark and scratch at the crate. She falls asleep elsewhere and we would place her in the crate but she would wake up immediately barking. We take her out to potty and then it’s back to nonstop barking. i’m at a loss and don’t know what to do ): i’ve tried enrichment, exercise and training to try and tire her out but no matter what if she has to go in the crate she goes crazy. I’ve had a few breakdowns over this lol

I have a 20 week old boxer puppy and she is very social and of course lots of energy. I’m hoping she can go to a doggy daycare a few times a week while i’m at work starting next month. Preferably in South Burnaby.
