This guy has on multiple occasions had outbursts where he’ll start punching things and yelling at us calling us bitches and other words. Today he followed me and a couple other guys all the way across the plant and while we waited at the time clock was pacing, threatening us, and being generally scary and totally unhinged. It seems he might be off his meds right now because he’s been saying random gibberish in morning meetings and has been smashing things more than usual. I don’t know if anyone has ever reported his behavior. If I report the incident, what is likely to happen? The last thing I want is him to get a reprimand and then come to work with a weapon or something. Thanks for any advice

I’m a new maintenance hire and since I was late to sign up for direct deposit I was supposed to receive my first pay as a physical check last Thursday. Unfortunately no one has been able to find it for me since then. Several managers have tried to help but everyone seems confused and the bureaucracy is dizzying. I called the payroll number myself but it’s a dead-end as a regular employee. Our in-house payroll person left for vacation today. Like the projects I’ve been working on, everything seems needlessly disorganized.

Bills are due for me and I’m starting to feel desperate. What should I do? As a probation-employee I assume a grievance is out of the picture. All I want is the money owed me. Thanks for any direction you guys can give!
