One of the oldest requests from the Avakin Life community has been greater freedom when customizing our avatars without having to remove existing items.

Currently, many accessories and makeup items are placed in broad or inconsistent categories, and several compatible items occupy the same equipment slot. This limits creativity and prevents players from creating the looks they actually want.

Proposed Solution: A Layer System

The idea is to introduce independent layers for accessories and makeup, allowing players to equip multiple compatible items at the same time.

Accessories

For example, players could equip simultaneously:

Ears

• Ear type (human, elf, fairy, etc.)
• Earrings
• Piercings
• Additional ear accessories

Head

• Hats and caps
• Glasses
• Hair accessories
• Masks

Waist

• Belts
• Bags
• Chains and decorative accessories

Back

• Wings
• Backpacks
• Tails
• Decorative accessories

Makeup Layers

Makeup could also be separated into independent categories:

• Skin: contour, blush, highlight
• Eyes: eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyelashes, effects
• Facial details: freckles, beauty marks, scars
• Lips: lipstick, gloss, effects
• Extras: glitter, face paint, themed makeup

This would allow players to create much more detailed and realistic looks without sacrificing other items.

Inventory and Shop Organization

Another major improvement would be reorganizing the inventory and shop categories. Many items are currently placed in categories that don't accurately represent what they are, making them difficult to find and limiting customization options.

Benefits

For players:

• More creative freedom;
• More unique avatars;
• Better inventory organization;
• Better use of purchased items.

For Lockwood:

• Increased value of existing items;
• More incentive to purchase accessories and makeup;
• Higher player satisfaction and retention;
• A more modern customization system.

After almost 10 years of playing Avakin Life, I've started developing a theory about the game's offer system and, honestly, the more I observe, the harder it becomes to believe that everything is completely random.

I've been playing Avakin for nearly a decade. I've been a VIP subscriber since VIP was first introduced, and throughout all these years, I've consistently supported the game by purchasing coin packs, crowns, item bundles, and special offers. I've always enjoyed collecting, decorating, participating in events, and supporting a game that has been part of my daily routine for so long.

Despite that, I can count on one hand the number of times I've received a truly cheap offer.

In fact, I only remember one specific occasion when it happened.

Earlier this year, I traveled and spent about 20 days away from home. Normally, I keep Avakin open on Steam almost all day, only closing it when I go to sleep. But during my trip, I would only log in for a few minutes to check out new events and updates. It was during that period, near the end of my trip, that I suddenly received three cheap offers, including one for R$2.99, which I ended up buying.

Since then, I've never seen offers like that again.

That experience made me wonder: are Avakin's offers really random?

My theory is that the game's offer system may take player behavior into account. Factors such as online activity, playtime, purchase history, and account profile might influence not only which offers appear, but also the prices shown to different players.

And I'm not just talking about the famous promotional offers for R$2.99 or R$4.99.

Something I've noticed, and that many other players have also reported, is that even "standard" offers seem to appear at different prices for different players. In some cases, the exact same bundle, with the exact same items, can cost significantly more for one player than for another.

And honestly, that is very frustrating.

Not because I believe that players who spend more should receive special privileges or pay less than others. But because, after almost 10 years of supporting the game, regularly spending money, and maintaining an active VIP subscription since its launch, the feeling I get is one of being undervalued.

I understand that Avakin needs to attract new players, bring back inactive players, and encourage spending. That's part of how every online game works. But if the best promotions and lowest prices are mainly being offered to players who play less, spend less, or have been away from the game, then what message does that send to the players who have remained loyal for years?

To me, it doesn't make sense that I would need to stay away from the game for weeks just to receive the same offers that other players get regularly. After all, I spend money on Avakin because I'm active, because I participate, and because I genuinely enjoy the game. If I'm not playing, then I also have less reason to spend.

Maybe all of this is just a coincidence. Maybe it's simply a theory based on my personal experience and on what I've observed from the community.

But after almost 10 years of playing, financially supporting the game, and following its evolution, it's hard not to feel that the loyalty of long-time, active players is becoming increasingly undervalued.
