Yeah in the 616, it really did happen a long time ago. In the old Marvel Team-Up run from the '70s. Comically, Jean wasn't bothered by the kiss LOL. The main issue is, Marvel retcons everything hundreds of times, and so many past events have either been altered or are only vaguely remembered. Currently, for Peter and Jean this kiss probably never happened, given that their relationship is more like peers or good coworkers (because the X-Men are kind of the second big group that genuinely values Spidey, while the first is obviously the F4). The MCU can be the new receptacle for what we have already seen in the ink... Because there's plenty to do. Hope they don't hold back.
Peter has a good relationship with mutants (X-Men, most of the time). So, yeah. I'm assuming the MCU have a lot to recreate from there. Also, If I remember correctly, there should have been a kiss between Peter and Jean later...
