My father got scammed, my friend got scammed
My late father, who was 82, was scammed several times. One so-called “Microsoft guy” wanted to clean up his computer, and even after we went to the police, it all started again six months later not Microsoft but a bank.
The same happened to my late friend. He wanted to create some extra financial space, so he took out a mortgage — and ended up trapped in a boiler room scam.
It was terrible. Every time, I felt like I was too late. But both men had the same spirit: they wanted to learn, stay independent, and make their own choices.
So I asked Nomoclub to write a happy pub song about it. The title is “My Dad Got Robbed.”
Keep our independent older people safe — and keep on scambaiting. Thank you guys! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6didylBK47I&list=OLAK5uy_kT65hmcCR8dReNyH7MxmckQyiWT3q9KM8
