Hit a nice 2-for-1 slide hike this past Sunday climbing down Saddleback’s South Slide and ascending Basin’s Northeast shoulder. Epic day & climb & I’d consider this slide climb one of my favorites so far!
Northwest Passage and West Ramp Slides…. After climbing Jackson, I was ambitious to climb the bigger slides that formed from just over a year ago. With the recent dry weather, Sunday was a perfect day to climb both! I crossed over the slide towards the bottom to Northwest Passage, climbed up some steep areas before it got to the point where scrambling wasn’t necessary. A short bushwhack at the top of the slide over to the top of the West Ramp wasn’t treacherous, and the climb down West Ramp required a lot of butt dragging and focus. We stayed on the slides the whole time. Epic climb
Climbed both Canine & Khyber Slides last Monday. Always a good day climbing multiple slides!
