Just notice that my scab is weeping barely, in one place

Recovery

My chronic health anxiety is kicking in today and I notice that my scab, was a little bit weeping near the very top - not masses, barely anything, but I noticed a few spots on my shirt. Dabbed it gently with a paper towel and there was some ooze, but again barely anything,

Have dialled 111 and awaiting a callback, but my health anxiety is spiralling and I’m concerned it’s something serious. I’m nine days post op and was beginning by to feel I was getting into a good place.

Home today. 6 days post op.

Recovery

Finally got home today on day 6 post op. Pain is manageable, but still scared to cough for fear of exploding my chest.

Feeling both over and underwhelmed - exhausted and with a brain fog to match.

Tonight’s goals were simple; move a bit. Eat a bit. Shower and bed.

CABG surgery on Tuesday.

Like the title says; having a triple bypass done on Tuesday at Papworth.

I’m veering between abject terror and acceptance. Surgeons are confident of me making a full recovery (53m). My surgeon has told me he himself has done over a thousand of these procedures.
