Looking for a Durham household (any shape or size) willing to be photographed for a photo project
Hi r/bullcity! I'm a photography student working on a project called "One Family Life in Durham." I'm looking for one household willing to let me document a slice of their everyday life over a few weeks.
"Family" is defined broadly here: a single person, a couple, roommates, a multigenerational home, a chosen family, a family with pets, anything that feels like family to you.
What it involves:
- A few visits from Oct. to Dec., each a couple of hours
- Mostly everyday moments: cooking, chores, hanging out, routines. Nothing staged
- You decide what's off-limits, and you can veto any photo or withdraw at any time
- I'll share the photos with you afterward
- The work will be used for possible exhibition and class presentation. Nothing gets shared beyond that without your written OK
A bit about me: I'm an exchange student from China studying at Duke this year. Photography has been my biggest passion for the past seven years, and I'd love to use this project to see Durham through the everyday lives of the people who live here.
