RB College: Bowl Games

I'm trying to figure out which bowls are what. Here's what I have so far:

Wool Bowl-Cotton Bowl

Lilac Bowl-Rose Bowl

Nectarine Bowl-Peach Bowl

Steel Bowl-I think this is supposed to be the Iron Bowl but the Iron Bowl isn't a bowl game per se but the annual Auburn/Alabama game.

Spice Bowl-Got me on this one

Anyone got some of the others?

What Bothers Me About This Game

First of all, I love this game. I have 5 different seasons going. 3 on my phone, one on my computer at work, and one on my laptop. One of my seasons is in season 72 and my head coach is 107 years old. I play a lot. That said, there is always going to be aspects of the game that drive me nuts. Now, full disclosure, I play on easy because I'm doing this for fun. That said, here are aspects of this game that annoy me in no particular order:

Kickoffs-More often than not, my team almost always receives to start the game. Not a big deal but I'm a defer kind of guy. I wish this game had a coin toss like Techmo Bowl. Kickoff returns more often than not don't go past the 35 yard line, even if I have a maxed out speed returner. Yes, I've returned kicks for TD's but not as often as I probably should.

The opposing defense is always faster-Whether it's returning a kick or pulling off a long pass and catch or run, the opposing defense always has someone who can run like the Flash. Yes, I realize stamina plays a major factor and is why sometimes the ball carrier runs out of gas but why don't their defender run out of gas? I've had them be trailing my ball carrier by as much as 30 yards AND on the other side of the field and they're able to track me down, even at max speed. This leads me to...

Tackling me on the 1 or 2 yard line: This is infuriating how often this happens. Especially when it's the end of the first half or the game and I'm down by a touchdown or less. I throw a pass, my receiver catches it, is steaming down the field and I can see the defender gaining. Now, we all know if you time it right, you can juke, they dive, and miss you. But sometimes you can't and I just get to the goalline and they tackle me. I've even had them chasing me, I juke, they dive and miss me at about the 30 yard line only to have them get up and track me down and I lose the game.

Speaking of passing, if I throw the ball and there are more than one receiver near the ball the slowest player ALWAYS comes down with it, usually my tight end. Also, 98% of the time, if there's a defender, the pass is intercepted.

5 Star defense can't stop a 1 or 2 star offense-I've had this happen a lot lately. I have a 5 star defense and my opponent has a 1 or 2 star offense and they score at will.

Kickers-The only time I get a kicker with decent stats is when I take over a team and he's already there. Usually they're a one or 2 star, sometimes a tad more, prospect with minimal skills you have to build up.

Speaking of kicking, how many times I've tried a long field goal, watch it go over the crossbar, only for the computer to say it was too low.

Raining in Nebraska-I use Nebraska a lot because they're my favorite team but it amazes me how many bad weather games I have, like Lincoln is Seattle.

School Colors-Most of the time they get it right but many it's wrong. Not a huge deal but University of Indiana isn't orange and neither is Iowa. And UCLA is not black and gold.

Polling: This, sometimes makes no sense. I've had my team be undefeated, just in in a blowout, and drop in the polls and have a team with a loss leapfrog them. The other day, I went from #1 to #4 for no good reason. Also, and this has happened a couple of times. Once I was Mississippi Valley State(Jerry Rice's alma mater). I finished the regular season 12-0, was #1 in the FCS polls, won my conference championship game, and wasn't included in the FCS playoffs.

Anyhoo, that's about it. Like I say, I love this game but sometimes it drives me crazy.
