I don't think I ever encountered this mini story in my original TW playthrough (or maybe I just don't remember it). Motoha's 4th mini story has a scene where a girl with a dog named Taro patrols to get those eagles (or "unspecified birds" in English) away. This is the exact same girl you can see in Neko Takahashi's side quest, and her dog is also named Taro.

Neko Takahashi's quest has never once had a follow-up since her debut in September 2024, and this is somewhat the closest "follow-up" as this event first happened in July 2025.

Funnily enough, this dog is not named in the 2024 servers, tho I'll have to double-check Neko Takahashi's side quest in SEA with the Chinese in my alt much later, since Neko Takahashi's side quest is drastically different between 2024 and 2025 servers. I mean it is very possible that Black Wings reuse her and the dog, but it is nice to see a mini cameo... provided you got lucky in your run. Didn't spot her in my alt, while I did in my main SEA account. ^(More or less today is the final day for the SEA server, so hopefully I can finish compiling them soon once I am more free-)

In her PV, there is a calendar where she will come to the beach to have fun. This date corresponds to when she drops as a pullable character!

^(Also, idk if anyone is still curious about the beach shack business minigame, but I'll try to double-check them all soon and list out what the differences between servers and languages are later. The 2nd part of the exclusive activities will be separated.)

I know not everyone is gonna care, because not everyone likes the Beach Shack Business Minigame. Many find it tedious. Me? I love it, but only the Chinese version. Why? Because each activity has its own narration unique to each activity and not just "It became a truly memorable moment..." or "Things really heated up".

For example:

"帮手来了！"-> "好像是美波父亲的熟人来帮忙了……"
"Help has arrived!" -> "It seems like someone that Minami's dad knew came over to help us out..."

There are roughly 3 variants (or 4, idk) for each activity, too. For example, there is a "Net sensation photo shoot" activity.

"为了和池波合影，粉丝们围过来了……" ->Ikenami's fans swarmed over to have a photo with him...

"路菲尔合影超受欢迎，游客排起了队……" -> Taking a photo with Lufel is such a big hit that the tourists are queuing up for it...

"和抱着路菲尔的池波合影爆火！ 现场全被人挤满了……" -> The photo with Ikenami hugging Lufel has gone viral! The venue was completely packed with people…

Granted, I understand why it is not translated a bit more closely since there are over 150 of these - yes, I counted, still counting, but yeah, a huge charm of this mini game is lost in translation. I doubt the translators and localisers had the time to flip through each one of them within a time crunch; even I find it a bit taxing to check one by one since they are minor variants of each activity. But still, I find it a shame that people are not able to read it and dismiss this event as "boring" just because most of us here played in English. I switched to Chinese for this mini game in my SEA account since I could read Chinese. It can be tedious, but I enjoyed it for these interactions. You CAN'T find many people playing this in English online on YouTube, sadly, so idk how bad the experience is outside of my first experiences with a few days before switching it to Chinese,

So what do I do? Idk. One of my beta readers is questioning my sanity. Yeah, I guess I'm compiling them "all" (as much as I could) and translating them later. Obviously, I would miss a decent amount, since RNG can be a pain and not show me anything new. Dunno if I could collect most since I'm not a programmer and there are a limited number of attempts, but yeah... Idk, just wanna share the fun I had once I had the time to comb through all the recordings of the first half. Yes, I am still recording, and it is just the first half. Dunno how busy I'll be since IRL is a thing, but hopefully I could go through them all if anyone is interested lmao

Here are all the Persona 5 X's Shun Kano's voice lines for Tycoon. Happy birthday to Shun Kano, whose birthday is on July 11th! I thought it would be sweet to finish and post this on our dear Mommy Shun's birthday, since it is a bit coincidental that I did it around his birthday lol

Shun's Mandarin dub is surprisingly close to his Japanese dub, unlike Motoha. Tho if I ever wanna describe his CN dub, I would say he's a bit more cool-headed and confident/casual than the JP dub? They both portray a similar yet distinct serious vibe in their own way.

My beta, Greenie, helped out with some edits on two of the Shun emotes for this occasion. I'll take a break from Tycoon to focus on my old translation projects because they had been on ice for a long while haha

Here are all the Persona 5 X's Ann's voice lines for Tycoon. Most of Ann's JP voice lines in Tycoon are from Royal, while there are two lines newly recorded for P5X. Ann's background colour was changed from this hot pink to this peach pink around... 5.0.1 version, I think? I assumed it was because of Ann Starlight, but Morgana's background colour is still the same despite his Highlight background colour having changed too.

Ann in Mandarin dub is quite close to the JP dub (and maybe the EN dub?). Usually, I don't really want to extend this kind of video that much, but I figured this would be a cute way to show this clip of her pulling for Ann. Here are all the Persona 5 X's Ryuji's voice lines for Tycoon. Most of Ryuji's JP voice lines in Tycoon are taken from Royal, but two of the lines here are newly recorded for P5X.

Ryuji's energy flips between dubs, lmao. Ryuji's JP dub is way more exaggerated than the Mandarin dub by comparison, but both do have their fair share of yelling. Coincidentally, I wanna post this around his birthday since it also coincided with P5X's SEA anniversary (July 3rd), so happy belated birthday to Ryuji and happy belated anniversary to P5X SEA server!

Fun fact: Ryuji's Mandarin VA is the same as Arataki Itto from Genshin Impact, which Max Mittleman was voicing too in the English dub. I assumed that's the main factor why the studio had him voicing Ryuji here.

So, some people have problems doing this, so I'm gonna give you a few tips for this.

First, unlock the Wooden Tarot Card, Antique Clockwork or Wealth Charm from the Antique shop. Equipping either Antique Clockwork or Wealth Charm works anyway, since they do boost Clock Gears gained from this. I chose the Wooden Tarot Card since this works well too, as this is the very first Tartarus roster, so the Major Arcana selection isn't as wide. I'll get back into the Wooden Tarot Card stuff in a bit.

Second, unlock Minami and put her as one of the 12 playable units. While it is true that playing this mode doesn't limit any character while doing this mission, her A6 will provide a safety net at the very end in case this run goes bad. Riko and Shun will help you tremendously in this run since they are resource-friendly. You can also bring someone like Yusuke since he's terrible in this mode, and you can just finish the A6 mission with him here too.

Next, pick the lowest difficulty, which in this case is "Easy". This mission can be achieved with the Easy Mode, so don't worry about doing it in Difficulty 1 or above. There are 2 main reasons for this:

1. To make sure it is manageable to beat since Easy Mode doesn't have the greater difficulty parameter effects, so less Will will be consumed and less damage taken while scaling Tartarus

2. To take advantage of the exploit for this specific difficulty at the very end

Now for this run, you need to get at least 13,000 Clock Gears. How do you do that? Simple, make sure to get the cards that will help you to reach this goal. We are gonna abuse the Great Clock at the very end to grind over 10 million Time Gears.

Several cards can help you achieve this goal, but the most important ones are:

- After winning a battle, increase the number of Clock Gears in your possession by 1%

- Decrease Clock Gears needed to refresh cards at the Great Clock by 50%

- Increase the number of cards that can be selected at the Great Clock by 1

- Decrease Clock Gears needed to purchase cards at the next Great Clock by 30%

- When you enter a new floor, increase the number of Clock Gears in your possession by 3%

- When you enter a new floor, increase the number of Clock Gears in your possession by 10% (lasts for 2 floors)

- Increase the number of Clock Gears in your possession by 16%

- Decrease 1 Will from battles

- Increase the number of card selections in Shuffle Time: Normal/Rare by 1

Or anything that has to do with Clock Gears while destroying breakables, battles, or chests. You know the drill.

So, let's talk about the Wooden Tarot Cards. Now this baby says that it would allow you to choose one Major Arcana Card at the beginning of the run in exchange for 30 will. If you pick this, you are given a random Major Arcana Card out of 3 selections. This triggers Shuffle Time: Precious. Even without the Wodden Tarot Card, beating the Gatekeepers or some rare random chances will give you an Arcana for you to pick.

Major Arcana cards are the bread and butter of this run. For this run, the most important cards preferred here are:

The Devil: This thing increases the amount of Clock Gears in chests and breakables, as well as increasing the spawn of chests and breakables in the map

The Magician: Gain 1000 Clock Gears (yes, the game has a typo here, it's not 100, and it's a direct copy of the description in Tartarus Beta before they upgraded it...), 4 Dawn Fragments, 1 Tarnished Gold Coin, and 100 Tarnished Silver Coins.

These will help you to achieve this 15k Clock Gears goal at the very end. That said, you can pick The Moon, The Justice, The Fortune and The Priestess Arcana to help you with your run. The Chariot, the Strength, the Tower and the Fool don't help you here too much.

In case you need proof or something that the Magician's description has some typos. This is from my SEA Account

Now, you are ready for your run. There are two important points to keep in mind. Try your best to get to Floor 18 while not dying and to get into 15k Time Gears, so you need to avoid every single Great Clock that is NOT from Floor 18. This will ensure you can reach your goal by the time you get there, as Floor 18 will always have a Great Clock. Try your best to farm some Dawn Fragments, as you will need them to replenish your will. This is where Riko and Shun, being a 4* unit, truly shine, as you need to get 3 units of a 4* unit to be max, so any extra you get from the 4* copies will immediately give 2 back. You're not in a hurry to max the 5*, as long as you pace yourself. Even if you are over 100 will, you are fine.

While on your way, try grabbing some of the Rare buffs or debuff cards as per usual to help you with the grind at the very end.

Once you reach Floor 18, with over 14k Time Gears, good job! You are at the very end goal now. On your way from Floor 17 to 18, try getting buffs that are green in colour that last more than 3 non-instant kill battles or blue in colour.

Welcome to your 2nd final destination, the Floor 18's Great Clock.

Unlike other difficulty levels, this Easy Mode allows you to infinitely refresh the Great Clocks, so BUY EVERY SINGLE GREEN and BLUE card you see in the shop, and look for those cards I mentioned earlier, especially 16% increase Clock Gears. Once you buy them all, they will disappear from the shop forever, except for the 16% card. This is why you need around 15k (13k is fine, but you need to be very lucky), since it can take some RNG for that 16% Clock Gear to spawn. This will allow you to go over 10 million time gears once you clear the Blues, the Greens, the Major Arcana, and Rare/Super Rare Red cards, and it allows you to buy other stuff too if you wish to grind other stuff, including Dawn Fragments, easy A6 units and Soul Fragments. The Major Arcana card can cost just 600 with this exploit. Once you clear it, just buy whatever you want for the battle.

Just whatever you do, do NOT buy Soul Link. Sometimes I feel like this card is weirdly glitchy, where it might end your run if you're not careful, since you are aiming for -100 Will mission.

Also try not to go over 999,999,999 Clock Gears. While I was doing this, my game freaked out a bit. 10 million is enough.

Now the last step. Reach -100 will. Now go to the next floor where the boss lies, and quit the battle if you did not reach -100. It will minus 14 will every time you quit. Just do not go near the clock. You already bought all your upgrades for your characters in the shop.

Once you reach -100, go beat the boss. It is very easy with all the upgrades you bought as you will do over 999,999,999 damage.

Btw, I just realised the SEA server had this mode as "Tartarus Beta" in Chinese. I still can't escape my pain from Tartarus Beta, huh. EW, but at least this is much less agonising than what CN/TW/KR first started.

I will say, the Mandarin dub does give off a more cocky vibe, yet feels in line with how the JP and English dub did Morgana. Been quite busy with IRL, but Morgana's lines were more or less translated a few months ago, but a decent chunk of the translation is taken from how the English dub of Morgana did in P5R. Ryuji's next, but life's a bit hectic now.

At the beginning of Chapter 4, it is clearly stated that Kokatsu Academy don't have a drama club. But did you know that it did originally have one?

For those players who played on the 2024 servers before Chapter 4 was a thing, in Kiyoshi's synergy rank 5, there was a girl who was crying loudly in a hallway.

In the original dialogue here, Kiyoshi said, "So the truth behind 'the Hall of Lament' was... just a member from the drama club practising to bawl her eyes out...". Honestly, it is such a very small detail that most players would miss or don't remember it. Mind you, Kiyoshi's synergy is one of the earliest to be made in P5X, as evident by the fact that his Rank 20 has voicing acting. I only noticed this change after a P5X theorist pointed it in Bilibili.

To reflect the dilemma in Chapter 4 of not having a drama club in Kokatsu Academy, the writers sneakily updated this detail to rank 5 later in 2024 servers. The exact date of this detail update is unknown since... most people won't even check the old Synergy chapters anyway, but this time it's just changing the phrase from "a member of the drama club" to "someone".

Since the English script doesn't have to be too mindful of this detail, as Chapter 4 was long scripted by the time the 2025 servers drop, Kiyoshi's Chapter 3 has been updated, though it went to just "bawling out your feelings" instead of practising it. I dunno why they have altered this wording, but it's not a huge change per se.

HOWEVER, a funny detail here is that since the SEA server does have simplified Chinese, I assumed they used the original Chinese script directly from the CH server, so this update was not reflected in the SEA account lmao. Not the first time I've seen this kind of slip-up, since Mio's Rank 9 SNS in SEA with Chinese subtitles was not altered as well lol

Since Kiyoshi did appear way earlier before Chapter 4, and one of the options did have Kiyoshi acknowledging Nagisa as someone he knew, it can be seen as a plot hole here.

Tho it is kinda funny to note how this tiny detail is different between these servers. I mean I guess that girl is either practising to cry (which makes sense), or this girl has been crying for several days in depression. Or this girl was the sole Drama Club member, and Riko just doesn't know it existed lmao
