Looking for advice - Joota Chupai- Sister of the Groom
My brother is marrying into an Indian family, and I will be attending the wedding this weekend. I was just informed about the tradition of Joota Chupai, and am not sure what responsibilities I have. My brothers fiancé said I am incharge of hiding/protecting my brothers shoes. Yet when I look into it online, it seems as the brides family is trying to take and hide the shoes from my brother. Sounds like a fun tradition but looking for more clarity on what my role is as the grooms sister. Also if anyone has helpful strategies....please help me 😆
