After years of Distro Hopping I’m back home My Mint 22.3 Setup

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my latest setup and a bit of my journey. Like many of you, I fell hard into the distro-hopping rabbit hole. Arch, Fedora, Debian, window managers... you name it, I’ve broken and fixed it. I’ve reached a point where I can confidently say I know Linux inside out. I'm not a beginner, and I didn't just escape Windows yesterday.

But honestly? I got tired. I spent more time tweaking and troubleshooting my OS than actually getting my work done.

Today, I decided to come back to Linux Mint 22.3.

Mint was my first ever entry into the Linux world, so it always holds a special place in my heart. But nostalgia aside, I chose it for pure comfort and reliability. It took me exactly one hour to script and configure this complete setup—themes, desklets, dev tools, ,Apps , everything.

Now, I can finally open my laptop, do my actual work, close it, and go about my day. No sudden surprises after a system update, no broken packages before a deadline.

I really appreciate the incredible work and dedication the Mint team puts into this distribution. The quality, stability, and polish they deliver out of the box is unmatched, even for power users who just want to be productive. I’m not looking for comparisons or distro wars I just share these words with You

Here is a screenshot of my current customized setup. What do you guys think about , Good ?
