There are so many stories built around male possessiveness, male want. And the heroine exists inside that — desired and chosen.

But what happens when she's the one who wants more? When her curiosity and desire are something neither of them can outrun?

Is there a trope that only works in books but would be a red flag in real life?

Romance fiction lives in a space where we suspend certain rules. You know: the possessive hero who shows up uninvited, the love interest who knows things about you they shouldn't, the situation where leaving isn't really an option... That kind of thing. 👀

In a story, these can be electric.⚡ In real life, most of us would be texting a friend our location.🗺️

Which trope do you love on the page but would absolutely not want to encounter in reality? And what is it about fiction that makes it work when real life would not?
