Sorting out mountain of references in my PhD document

What is the quickest and safest way to check all my references in my PhD document before submission? I've used endnote but admittedly I haven't been checking every detail of the citation as I have been importing them to my document. I am worried about using AI to check as I know it has a tendency to make things up. Has anyone come across or used a good workflow or tool that has helped them get through this mountain of references efficiently and without going mad?

Heading towards the end of my PhD. How do I prepare for what's next?

I am in my 4th year of PhD and due to be finishing in the next 6 months. I want to preface this by saying that unlike a lot of people, I have mostly loved this experience. I am still interested in my work and thoroughly enjoy being in the academic space.

Unfortunately though, my field is small and competitive and a lot of people would consider it 'knowledge for knowledge's sake'. I feel as though I have worked and studied myself into a bit of a corner and am now realising that to pivot will be difficult, though not impossible.

Whilst I need to be focused on finishing my dissertation (and I am), I am also worried about what comes next. I don't have a lot of money as student funding is pretty dire. I work for the university where I can but the pay isn't great and its not giving me experience that sets me apart from any other postgrads as we are all in similar university roles. I don't have a great deal of time to be doing additional work as I am very focused on the PhD. I also have been notorious for volunteering myself for things in the university in the hopes that it will help me stand out. But it often leaves me feeling like a doormat and so far as I can tell, hasn't really gotten me any other opportunities.

Outside of my actual research I am also pretty passionate about science communication and outreach. I would love a curator/collections management but these are hard to come by. There are a lot of things that I could do. I am just not sure how to explore the options and how to get on track to pivot if that is what I need to do in 6 months or so.

Has anybody got any advice or suggestions? Any podcasts, blog reccos would be amazing as well.
