Is it just me, or does Wanda seem cursed?

She lends Hank her TV, and he promptly destroys her birdbath, car window, and the TV.

She inherits a scooter, to only have Brent run over it with his car.

She gets a free piano from Lacey, to have Hank blow a tire and smash it to smithereens with his truck.

She earns her PhD, but has it rescinded after impersonating a medical Doctor.

After spending the whole day trying to protect her telescope, she trips and fires it into Brent’s car.

She finds her true love, but forgets his phone number (two percent!)

Spawns the demon child in Tanner, scourge of babysitters everywhere.

And to top it off… Hank. Hanging around constantly.

What have I missed? I know there’s many more.

Mods don’t get the joke I guess as they removed my posts… twice.

So I guess I have to go Wanda-mode. Here’s the back story. Most character’s surnames are taken from small towns in Saskatchewan. Fun fact!

Now, I’ve been travelling through the province and came across some of these towns and I thought it might be fun to post them here.

The one being referenced is Clavet (Archie Clavet) from S2E11 “Hurry Hard”, who although he was a liar, a thief, a racist and a bigamist… he was also a great curler and you have to respect that.

Now this particular sign I do not believe to be the original Clavet sign as I’ve seen it before and this one looks different. If the Village office were open I’m sure they would make up some mumbo-jumbo like “we’re unable to ascertain its whereabouts at this juncture”.

Over explaining jokes really takes the fun out of it if you ask me. Sometimes all you need is a one liner. It’s the mark of a great wordsmith and there have been many great one line posts on this subreddit that everyone gets, comments their favourite lines and upvotes.

Those who watch Corner Gas tend to watch it A LOT and these scenes spring to life in their heads with little prompting. So have a heart and allow the commenters to bring a post to life. It’s what Reddit does best.

On the other hand if nobody wants to see a collection of town signs, please downvote and roast me in the comments and I’ll go find something else to do on my vacation.
