Advice needed: Ship an FTDNA kit to the US from Dublin?
Hi everyone,
A friend of mine is currently in Dublin and needs to ship a FTDNA kit back to the lab in Texas, USA. We are aware that An Post (or Aer Lingus) can be quite strict and often reject these kits at the counter, classifying them as "biological materials", even though it's just a simple cheek swab (Exempt Human Specimen).
We checked FedEx online to bypass An Post, but it quoted a crazy price of around €114 for a tiny envelope!
Has anyone here recently shipped a DNA test kit to the US?
What is the most cost-effective and hassle-free way to do this?
