PLEASE CARRY AN IFAK

We had a hard day yesterday on our off grid property. We are currently building an addition to our house. I had my sliding compound miter saw screwed to my temporary work table outside on the deck to cut my flooring. I was stepping away from the saw, tripped over a extension cord and started falling backwards. Out of habit i reached to grab something to stop myself and as murphys law would have it I grabbed tha handle of saw turning it on and sliding the saw out into my stomach. Thankfully I had an ifak in my truck about 15 feet away. I was able to apply pressure, get my ifak and apply more gauze and a pressure bandage and drive myself to the ER thats about 45 minutes away. I cant stress enough how important it is to have an ifak not only in your vehicles but in your house and other areas you are frequently working in. Freak accidents like this happen all the time and without an ifak and most of us here being a good chunk from a hospital, shit can go south real fast of we dont have the ability to stop bleeding on site.
