Made a longer comp than my last post which was just pointing out the sunglasses heart eyes in the last episode.

I act the most like Bubbles. I look the most like Buttercup though.

Yeah, I get this is two against one but the thing is Remy's parents aren't overly distinct characters from each other anyways. & they're also maybe hardly their own characters (though, Country Clubbed tried to kind of make them that way & later scrapped it)

Anyways, what got me thinking of this is I read a person where someone said the Buxaplenty's were worse parents than Dale & I felt I personally disagreed. I made a breakdown of each to show why I personally feel the way I do, but I am very curious to see what others think.

The Buxaplenty's:

- Neglect their son to the point of forgetting his name, & also briefly forgetting he's even their son

- Only spend like specifically a few minutes a day with him, but try to specifically take that time out of their day for whatever reason

- When stranded on a deserted island with him, only gave him a few seconds of their attention & then found ways to get rich again almost instantly & started ignoring him

- Had him sent to a military school for unknown reasons, but that same episode he later tried to blow up C&W so he probably was being a bad kid. Though they did demand he stay there & that school was pretty dangerous

- In "Country Clubbed" they ran over Mr. & Mrs. Turner & invited them to their club to secretly mock the pair behind their backs. Here we see Remy without Juandissimo & his parents side by side with him to show the tour to the Turner's, he also attends a private screening done by his father & humiliates Timmy's parents as well, telling Timmy about how every so often his parents run over some "classless saps" to invite them to their country club to embarrass themselves, & then laughs. In this episode Remy was portrayed more as just a shallow stuckup rich kid than having anything deeper going on & being like his parents.

Dale Dimmadome:

- Has literal bots take care of his son for him, but does spend time with Dev to use him for business

- Openly said the most important thing to him are his boots, & one time said the only thing he cares about is the anomaly in front of Dev too

- Remembers Dev's full name

- I think if I remember correctly he tries to make sure Dev gets pudding earlier than the other kids

- Actively tries to involve his son to do all these tasks for him

- Carelessly stepped on him, even after Dev did something huge that briefly made him proud

- Always puts business & money before Dev, but makes it very obvious & doesn't even try to hide it

- I literally cannot think of anything genuinely positive about his side of their relationship..

Yeah.. to me it sounds obvious the Buxaplenty's are the "better" parents even though this is still comparing trash with garbage. But someone else had a different opinion the only time I saw this talked about, so why not? Anyways, the Buxaplenty's don't actively try to force Remy into participating in their businesses or make him work when he's just a kid & also don't overly endanger him like I feel Dale does to Dev. I also know the military school thing was bad but at the same time Remy showed proof he may have been acting out really badly & they at least noticed that. Also, they ran over adults with their limo but at least unlike Dale they don't literally electrocute little kids. I have a theory though never explicitly shown I felt was implied that after Remy returned home from military school it gave Mr. & Mrs. Buxaplenty a reality check that led to them stopping neglecting their son & that's why he lost Juandissimo.

However, though, maybe if we see more FOPANW Dale may develop a little further that could change this but I don't know about that..

I say probably slightly unpopular because I saw a post asking who people preferred & almost everyone said Dev. Plus I see more content of him on social media. I understand why people prefer Dev, but I just prefer Remy.

He is personally more appealing to me partially maybe because we saw less of him. He wasn't a main character like Dev. He also wasn't as straight-fowardly sympathetic, like he was a bit at times but then he kept acting super diabolical & being petty moreso than Dev.

He is a pretty interesting character in FOP for me at least. His design stands out because he has that dinosaur looking nose probably to represent how snobby he is. I mean since ANW literally took a character & tried to develop them by making a new character based on them that should tell you something about the potential the first character had.

Many side characters in this cartoon were mistreated but to me I feel Remy especially was underused. Yeah, he got 5 episodes but still. There was a LOT of ideas you could do with another godchild who's meant to be a real foil but still don't have to see every episode like Chloe.

Remy Buxaplenty will always have such a special place in my heart. I don't even know how to explain it… there's just something about him. I could rewatch all his episodes every single day. He is fascinating. Maybe I am a little biased but I love him.
