What is this pain in my hips and thighs while turning over or getting out of bed? I am 2.5 months pp but the pain continues.

Hi, I am a mother of two. With my first baby, I gained a lot of weight post delivery. I actually lost weight during pregnancy and was 66kg just after delivery. But in about 3 or 4 months, I gained about 20 kgs. I had gestational diabetes during pregnanc but absolutely no pain in moving around.

This pregnancy, I started with 62kg and no gestational diabetes or any other complication and I was about 82 kg at the time of delivery. Currently I am 86 kg, 2.5 months post delivery. I am doing EBF, so I am not even thinking of dieting at the moment. I had pains in turning over or getting our of bed in the 3rd trimester. I thought this was due to pregnancy but the pain continues even now. In fact everything is alright as long as I am moving around but as soon as I lie down, it becomes extremely painful to getup or turnover. The pain is in my thighs and hip area. I tried googling this and maybe this is a symptom of having 'restless legs' due to lack of magnesium? I don't know why and this seems so minor that I don't know if I should visit a doc for it or if it is something that will go away on its own as I lose weight. In fact I will make a post about it too. Sometimes the pain is so much that I have to ask somebody to help me turn over or get out of bed.

I seldom lie down now and take rest by sitting with my feet up. On a funny note, at a time when I should be complaining about lack of rest, I am complaining because of it. Lol
