NEFER FULL TEAM C0, C0R1, and C2R1 DPS

NEFER FULL TEAM C0, C0R1, and C2R1 DPS

I’m tired of outdated calculations, or calculations based on “budget” builds. When we look for character guides, we want to know the maximum potential, even if most players can’t reach those numbers, they serve as a benchmark.

So after spending the whole day doing calculations and analyzing gameplay, I bring here real DPS numbers for Nefer’s team at three different investment levels.

A few points I’d like you to keep in mind:

  1. All the builds used in the calculations were based on my own characters and artifacts, so they are 100% achievable, but they are high-quality artifacts.
  2. The way Columbina’s skills attack prevents a fixed DPS per rotation. The only precise method is to analyze the total rotation interval and count how many attacks Columbina actually performed. This is especially important with Columbina C2, who starts stealing quills that should go to Nefer.
  3. I spent the day analyzing the behavior of Columbina’s skill, both at C0 and C2, to understand when she attacks and which buffs were active at the moment of each attack. So don’t worry, the calculations are very precise and based on real gameplay.
  4. There is a better rotation for the C0R0 and C0R1 teams, but I found it hard to execute quickly enough with yellow ping. Still, I recommend testing it, it ends up being better than the one in the image. Video link showing this rotation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CkpB04K-ME&t=307s
  5. I Don't Recommend if you have Columbina C2+.
  6. As I mentioned earlier, Columbina C2+ starts stealing quills that should go to Nefer, but this was also taken into account in the calculations.
  7. In the last rotation, there’s no need to use Nefer’s ult, it ends up being a DPS loss. The reason it’s used in the initial rotations is to keep the rotation time around 17.5 seconds.
  8. The rotation for the C0 team and the C2 team is the same; the only difference is the interval between Columbina’s attacks, which makes the calculations much harder.
  9. The rotations assume you start with 3 Verdant Dew stacks, but if you start without them, it will only compromise the damage of the first rotation.
  10. Don’t expect better results with Nahida C0, and if she is C2, expect roughly similar results, slightly higher or lower. Expect better results with Nilou C2R1 in any scenario.
  11. Sucrose C2 is required for this rotation.
  12. It goes without saying that, besides the builds, you also need very refined gameplay to reach these numbers.

Nefer doesn’t have and won’t have a dedicated fourth slot, but that might not be an issue in the short term!

Currently, at C0, the best support option is Sucrose, a 1.0 character from an element that doesn’t even interact with Dendro, whose only function is to provide EM to the team.

If we increase the investment level, the best option becomes Nilou C2R1, whose entire kit is essentially disabled in a Nefer team, with her only offensive utility being her C2 and her weapon buff—it’s almost disrespectful to Nilou mains.

Now, let’s consider the 7.0 onward perspective, where the focus will be Cryo and its new reactions. With the recent leaks, it’s safe to assume EM will remain highly relevant.

Have you tried using a Cryo in the fourth slot of a Nefer team? If so, you’ve probably noticed that even though Freeze sometimes triggers, it doesn’t hinder the team’s function—some players even used Diona C6.

If Rimegrass is confirmed as a new reaction in 41 days, it doesn’t really matter whether the reaction makes sense in this team; what matters are the generic buffs the reaction and its characters can provide to Nefer’s team. Anything like EM, Dendro Resist Shred, or Crit Damage is extremely valuable.

However, not everything is perfect. HoYoverse could still prevent Nefer from benefiting, for example:

  1. If all Rimegrass supports are Dendro, there would be no Cryo character to put in Nefer’s team, leaving the team dependent only on generic buffs that these characters can provide (for example, Lauma outside of Bloom teams is only useful for Dendro/Hydro Res Shred).
  2. If the buffs from the new reaction and its characters are all focused on Elemental or Stellar Damage, then in this scenario, it wouldn’t add anything to Nefer’s team.

All of this depends on how HoYoverse currently evaluates Nefer’s performance and how much the devs love or hate her. What are your thoughts?

An additional point: if a Dendro + Cryo reaction exists, it makes activating the Instructor set extremely easy.

  • Sucrose with Instructor.
  • A very difficult rotation, but rewarding.
  • When using Lauma’s charged E, make sure you have at least 3 Verdant Dew stacks.
  • To guarantee Hydro in the first rotation, you need to switch to Columbina at the moment the deer hits the enemy.

  • Builds in the comments.
  • Optimized rotation for C2 Columbina, designed to work across any number of rotations.
  • Easy to execute, as it doesn’t require Hydro Swirl—just quick inputs.
  • It works with a C0 team, although there are slightly better rotations in that scenario.

I’ve been looking forward to this moment, and here it is—a video showcasing a premium Nefer C2 team (or almost premium, since I don’t have Nilou C2R1, unfortunately). Also, Lauma’s weapon still hasn’t dropped yet; once I get it, I’ll redo the test, but you can expect numbers close to 600k or even higher.

his image is from when Lauma was still C0, but the build hasn’t changed.

My maximum DPS when Lauma was still C0, but consider it unrealistic—I was rarely able to reach that value. Treat 445k as the standard.

The DPS over 4 rotations.

Regarding my characters’ builds, the only thing I’d like to change is Lauma’s ER—I want to reach 180%, mainly because of OS Dire. Aside from that, I consider everything well balanced.
