I am an incoming software eng student this fall. should I go for something that is simple and modern or something that is more flashy and abstract. I am looking for swe internships

I'm an incoming Software Engineering student and don't have any formal software internship experience yet. Most of my experience comes from building websites for school clubs and creating a website for a non-profit organization. Is it appropriate to list these under my "Experience" section

I’m an incoming software engineering student and I’ve used C++ for competitive programming throughout high school. For software engineering internship OAs, should I stick with C++, or is it worth switching to Python or Java? Also, do companies still use OAs for internships?
