Roommate Chaos Director Changed to Ninew

The GMMTV Shop account posted info for the Roommate Chaos novel launch event, to be held at the International Novel Festival 2026 on 27 July.

In addition to the cast, the author of the original novels, Jittirain, will be in attendance, as will Ninew, listed as the director. Ninew has directed Only Friends: Dream On, co-directed Only Friends and The Warp Effect with Jojo, and is also a well-known acting coach.

Au (My School President, Cat For Cash, etc.) was originally announced as the director of Roommate Chaos at the GMMTV 2026 line-up event. Seems like he'll be focusing on Wish Upon A Star, his other announced project starring PahnFond. Ninew's original project for 2026 was My Professional Boyfriend, which is now in limbo (perhaps cancelled, but let's wait and see!).

GDH Circles Feel Good Line-up Event: Announcements and Updates 🎬🍿

GDH held a line-up event today — “GDH CIRCLES Feel Good.” Some of these might be of interest to everyone here - and GMMTV artists, as well as familiar directors and screenwriters, feature in some projects - so I've listed some of the announcements. Many of these projects were announced a while ago, but more information was shared like official titles, release dates, cast updates, or in the case of Henry's First Dates, a trailer.

Henry’s First Dates (จีบซ้ำซ้ำ เฮนรี่จำไม่ได้)

  • Remake of 50 First Dates, which starred Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore
  • Director: Mez Tharnatorn (I Fine…Thank You…Love You, The Little Comedian)  
  • Stars: Nadech Kugimiya & Minnie Nicha (G-IDLE)
  • Release info: In Thai cinemas September 17

Inherit (คุณยายวรนาฏ)

  • A wealthy family’s polished exterior begins to crack when an ancient centipede spirit infiltrates their bloodline. (source)
  • Adaptation of the novel Tayat Asun, which has been adapted for TV in 1992, 2001, and 2016 — this is the first film adaptation.  
  • Director: Bangjong Pisanthanakun (The Medium, Shutter)
  • Stars: Mai Davika and Baipor Thitiya - with a big supporting cast, including GMMTV artists Mark Pakin and Jamie
  • Release info: In Thai cinemas November 19

GFF (เพื่อนสาว) (Working Title)

  • A long-term gay couple face an unexpected identity crisis. This film examines the contemporary social phenomenon of straight people enjoying the lovey-dovey moments between same-sex couples, known as GayDose in Thailand, while also addressing broader debates regarding authenticity versus performance in such relationships. Untitled Snooker Project (Working title)

  • Inspired by the true story of a former Thai snooker prodigy who once stood among the world’s elite yet remains bound by the lifelong debt owed to his family. (Source)
  • Director: Wattanapong Wongwan (The Believers)
  • Star: Billkin 
  • Release info: TBA

★ Both GFF and Untitled Snooker Project were announced at the Cannes Market in the spring, although cast info was not yet available. 

3 Daughters (Working Title)

  • Director: Anusara Korsamphan (Caged Again 🐧🐈‍⬛)
  • Not much information about this one yet, but it’s a drama-comedy about three young sisters who are trying to get their always-fighting parents to divorce. (source)
  • One of its producers is Kriangkrai Vachiratamporn (Hormones), and Thanaporn Phetcharas (MuTeLuv: “Hi” By My Luck, Wake Up Ladies, When Oranges Fall, etc.) is on the screenwriting team.

Return of True Love Next Door (Working Title)

  • Return of the 2008-9 romcom series with the original director, some of the writers and cast attached. 
  • Director: Piyakarn Bootprasert (True Love Next Door, Long Live Love, Cloud Dream Project)
  • Stars: Sunny Suwanmethanont, Paula Taylor, Beau Thanakorn and many more
