We’ve got kittens! 🥹
Near the end of March, this gorgeous tortie decided she was moving in. We had just lost our cat Earl a few weeks before, and I was not ready for another cat. But she didn’t seem to mind. She started living on our porch, and eventually she came inside and made herself at home. I kept joking that once she was inside, she had to be fully indoor because I didn’t want her getting pregnant before we could get her fixed…
Then we noticed her belly. Took her to the vet and confirmed she was pregnant with 5 babies! We thought there would be another week or so before she gave birth, but she disappeared overnight and we finally found her in a drawer with five baby kittens. They all seem healthy and like they’re eating fine.
Any advice on how soon we have to be prepared for them to be getting up and moving around? I don’t really have a sense for how quickly kittens develop.
