NVMe 500 GB SSD, 5 yr warranty

My friend bought 512GB SSD in Amazon. But after he went to shop to install it, that repair guy shot circuited the mother board thus losing the laptop. Now he bought another 1TB laptop and that SSD he bought from Amazon for his old laptop lies unused. It's been a month since he bought it and never used it.
