Gold Dragon Faction (Not Black Knights)

I anticipate a little push back on this, but I build my faction around the new Black Knight shield from the Sea Serpent GWP as one of four distinct dragon factions. In my lore, they live on a separate continent and had previously joined forces to try and conquer the main continent. I'll post the rest in the next few days. I went with the griffin torso and the dark blue, but I turned up the gold accent to 11. I'm really hoping those shields go on PaB eventually.

Bear Faction

I've run out of builds to share, so here is my first of several currently homeless factions.

I felt the combination of the frightening knight and the DnD dwarf were a match made in heaven. Throw in the dark red legs from the viking village and it really comes together. Whole lotta axes, in different styles. The speckled armor really made this faction look a little more rustic and less refined. Finding helmets that fit over the fur collars was a challenge, but the Gimli helm worked reasonably well and fit the motif.

In my lore, they had long been at odds with the more powerful Wolf faction but are now their closest allies. I've also played around with the idea that the lady of the house is a sister of head of my Elk faction, forging an alliance between the two.

In the future I really want their home to be snowy, but not nearly as grand as the winter mountain fortress. I'd like to use a pallet of tan, dark red, and dark brown. This will probably be my next moc.

Horse Faction

I felt like using the gold armor and weapons really made this faction stand out against the other factions like the lions and the black falcons. The problem is, there are really 2 options: the visor and the cheek guard helm. I decided to use the white nasal helms to fill in the lighter infantry figs.

The castle is my take on the 3 in 1 castle. I combined 2 of them, but also filled in with other bricks I had.

A Knight of the Seven Brickdoms

Dunk and Egg, Ser Arlan of Pennytree, NSFW Ser Arlan, Steely Pate, Tanselle Too Tall, Raymon Fossoway, and Lyonel Baratheon.

No Targaryens, yet.

Elk Faction with Deep Forest Keep

This was probably my most fun faction to build. It has the most variety, but still has a unifying pallet. In my lore, they are different from the more traditional (and boring) forestmen. As opposed to many of my other factions, they are much more of a rag tag, lightly armored group that would specialize in guerrilla tactics, with the exception of one traditionally armored champion. The head of the faction has his two sisters leading by his side.

The keep is a complete moc. I really wanted to build the tree as a stand in for a castle tower.

Wolf Faction

I know this in controversial, but my Wolf faction is closer to a traditional knight faction than a group of bandits. This is just me, but I am a big GoT fan, and I cant disassociate them from the Starks.

Also, there are a few alt brand parts. The sword that the lord is wielding is from a Megablocks GoT set with Jon Snow. Also, the black flails and polearms came from an a Bldr pack that I picked up at Target. There is also a custom printed fig that I picked up at a used Lego store. The shield with two wolf heads was made with vinyl stickers.

Black Falcon Faction with Modified Mountain Fortress

In my lore, The Black Falcons are the wardens of the mountainous western region of the kingdom. I missed out on the Mountain Fortress when it came out, so I downloaded the instructions, made a PaB order, and designed my modifications. I eliminated the folded section to the right of the build, but I still worked in the yellow gate entrance to the side. I used the rock pieces to build up the mountain base. I also incorporated a covered entrance that leads to the ramp and squared off the tower. I tried to keep the ramp, the draw bridge, and the tower as close to the original design as possible.

As for the minifigs, I chose to use pearl dark grey for the armor and weapons to match the arms and legs. I was even able to trade in an older set and get the Kingdoms dragon knight that had the exclusive visor. In total, the army has 34 figures. Between the PaB order and the helmets, this is probably my most expensive faction. ...Please dot tell my wife.

Lion Knight Faction

This is my second largest faction, with 35 minifigures. It's pretty basic, using mostly the updated torsos and legs, but I was able to work in a couple of Kingdoms Lion knights.

Crown Knight Faction with the Great Hall

In my lore, this is the ruling house of the entire kingdom. In total there are 38 figs. I bought most of the figures when the fantasy era came out, but had to recover them from my nephews that I had passed them down to 15 years ago. I used the viking torso to beef up the numbers with the archers. The great hall would theoretically just be a section of the royal castle, located within the larger, fortified walls. The king and queen have a son and daughter, both of whom are great knights.

Lego Castle World

Hey there. I'm new to Lego Castle Reddit, but not new to castle at all. About two years ago, I rediscovered my childhood love for Lego castle that dates back to the late 80s. My collection is now over 450 minifigures strong, divided into 19 different factions. Here is a birds eye view. I'll reveal detailed images of each of the individual factions soon. Which one do you all want first?
