Any issues with anesthesia during a taper?
I have a procedure coming up that will require me to be put under. Are there any concerns around dropping your dose near to when you're getting anesthesia?

Hi folks, I wanted to see if anyone else has had this experience. Before I would take melatonin fairly often but it didn't seem to have much of an effect. I discovered my B12 deficiency and started doing injections two years ago. These days when I take melatonin, it will knock me out and I can have lingering fatigue most of the next day. I have several overlapping conditions so I'm trying to figure out if B12 is the cause for this.
I have been treating a long-standing vitamin B12 deficiency with frequent B12 injections (approx. 2x/week) for coming up on 2 years now.
I am dealing with some other health issues at the same time so it's difficult to tease out what's causing what.
I was experiencing insomnia recently on a day I did an injection late in the afternoon (around 4pm) so I'm wondering if it's related. Do injections interfere with anybody else's sleep?
In 2024 I began treating a long-standing vitamin B12 deficiency, and because iron is a co-factor for B12, I got an iron infusion last year to correct my low ferritin (it was in the 40s and wouldn't budge after months of supplementation). The rest of my iron panel was normal. My ferritin would never have been measured had it not been for the B12/iron expert I found who has been advising me on the treatment of my B12 deficiency.
There have been some confounding variables that have gotten in the way of me coming to this revelation sooner (medication that causes dry mouth), but I just realized that I am no longer thirsty all the damn time!!!!! Like, I used to have to bring a water bottle with me wherever I went, and now when I bring one, I might not touch it at all. All my life I would compulsively drink water, and at one point I thought I must be diabetic.
I can't believe it. It was iron deficiency this whole time. I am 30 and there were signs all throughout my life. The iron and B12 deficiency have explained almost every single thing that has ever been wrong with me.
