Need people's advice on etiquette for a birthday party. I live in the US and my neighbor and his wife are from Cameroon. Recently he invited me to a surprise birthday party for his wife which they rented a special venue for. Men are required to wear suits, women party dresses and fascinators. I've lived overseas and want to be careful with customs even though we're here in the US. What are do's and don'ts of birthday party's and formal events for Cameroonians?
