My pitch for a New MCU

Not necessarily a post-Secret Wars scenario, or a "what if they had all the rights from the beginning scenario", but somewhere in the middle i guess. I already posted this once more along with a call to make your own (which you should totally do) but I'm reposting it because im getting ready to make a phase two.

The first movie would have to be a Captain America movie. Him and the Howling Commandos work with Namor to bring down Zemo and Red Skull. Bucky dies, Jim Hammond is turned into Toro (renamed from human torch for confusion's sake) and James Howlett confessing to Steve he is a mutant. this movie ends the same as the first avenger, but Steve wakes up surrounded by the Avengers.

Next movie would be the Fantastic Four, now set in modern day, this experienced group is regarded as the world's greatest team of superheroes. Doom is the main villain and invades New York city with an army of Doom bots. Iron Man and the X-Men are mentioned to be helping but never truly shown. Doom is sent to prison 42 in the Negative Zone and a Doom bot is taken for experimentation. this Doom Bot will (in another i am not fully fleshing out) may become a body for Ultron or maybe the main body of Ultron

Next is Hulk. This movie adapts Hulk Gray, though Hulk isnt actually gray in this film.

After that, Iron Man, regarded as the world's greatest individual hero, greater and more experienced than the Fantastic Four. This film will adapt Armors Wars, with Madam Masque being the main villain.

Now the first show, which will be the new standard 26 episodes long. X-Men. X-Men is a show because there is just so much i need to cover. Classic, first five lineup to start with. The X-Men will fight Magneto and his Brotherhood, as well as Sentinels and a three episode arc about the Changeling. Halfway through the season, Polaris and Havoc join the team and everyone gets new suits (which are the suits more associated with their time as X-Factor). By the end, the X-Men are captured by Krakoa and Cyclops is the only on to make it out.

Then, Ant-Man. This movie will adapt Tales to Astonish #27 and #35. Hank Pym experiments his new "Pym Particle" on himself and is stuck on the ground but ends up being saved by Ants. Then, his formula is stolen by Elihas Starr, AKA the Egghead. Hank ends up stealing it back. In the end, he begins work on a suit for his love interest throughout the movie, Janet Van Dyne.

The Mighty Thor is last before the Avengers. Not much to say about this one. Loki is the villain with his co conspirators Enchantress and the Executioner. Takes place entirely on Asgard. Thor wins and Loki is sent to the Isle of Silence, while Enchantress and Executioner are banished to Earth.

Avengers: Assemble. Namor is the main villain. At first, Hulk is on Namor's side in his distain for humanity, but Bruce and the heroism of the humans fighting him sways Hulk the other direction. After Cap is unfrozen from the ice he ends up convincing Namor humanity is good and he returns to Atlantis.

An epilogue of sorts, Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man will be the second show and final project of this phase 1. An origin isnt explicitly shown, but Parker is in highschool and is very early into his career. Some of the villains are Scorpion, Rhino, Electro, Vulture, and the final and main villain is the Spider-Slayer robots, funded by JJJ.

Why is reddit filled with snyder bros i dont get it

i posted about what i would do if i was james gunn and a lot of my comments were saying my pitch was bad and that the snyderverse was leagues better and needs to be restored. I also made a post asking people what they would do and some said they would quit and hand the reins over to snyder. I seriously don't get it. The gunncu isnt failing by any means. just because supergirl was one mediocre doesn't mean the universe is dead. thor was middle of the road as well and look where the MCU went. It's not it's glory days right now... but i digress

What I would do if I was James Gunn

Just kind of a splatter of ideas

I'm gonna start by completely resetting from the DCEU except I will keep Battinson and make that the retroactive first film of the universe. I would change some things about the film itself, though. 1. John Jones is a detective working at the GCPD and is a minor part in the film 2. Selena doesn't leave Gotham, she stays and becomes a hero. Bruce reveals his identity to her and they go on their first date at the circus, where they see the Flying Graysons shot down.

In 2023, I'll announce the whole slate. In late that year, an animated Flash movie will release. Wally is the Flash and Barry just recently died. Then, Bart comes from the future and his father's archenemy of the time, Savitar, is the main villain of the movie. By the end, Bart returns to the future. During the movie, when Wally attempts to ask about Barry, Impulse says he simply doesn't want to talk about it.

In early 2024, Superman will release. Corenswet is still playing him, though the film will have a different plot. Lex Luthor hires/creates Metallo to kill Superman with a Kryptonite bullet. Lois traces Metallo back to Luthor and exposes him. Clark has been Superman for five years at this point, and has met Kara before.

In late 2024, I'll replace The Penguin with a show called Dynamic Duo. Robin is an experienced vigilante and a variety of villains appear. A major villain is Clayface, who starts out as his classic deformed street criminal version, before transforming into his shapeshifting form. Turns out, its all orchestrated by Black Mask and his Party Animals gang, and they are the true villains.

The summer 2025 slot will be taken by Wonder Woman. This will loosely adapt the Twelve Labors. Diana is caught regularly visiting Man's World, and must prove herself as a true Amazonian. Hippolyta sentences her to completing the Twelve Labors of Hercules.

2025 turns out to be the year of the Trinity, because in late that year, a World's Finest film will release. Luthor will regain the trust of the world by revealing he was right all along: Superman's parent's sent him here to conquer and rule. Batman doesn't believe it while Robin is occupied with his own things. The government hired Wonder Woman to fight Supes and Bats. They both convince Diana he is here to serve the people of Earth, and them three defeat Luthor.

The first project of 2026 will actually take place before World's Finest. A show titled Nightwing. Dick is 18, and quits being Robin to move to Bludhaven. He has trouble finding his identity, but Superman convinces him he can be great, better than Batman even. Dick creates the Nightwing persona. Though, during a mission he indirectly causes the death of Grant Wilson, and now his father, Deathstroke, is after Nightwing.

Next is a sequel to The Flash. Titled: Flash of the Future. A dark, evil speedster comes from the future to cause strife in Wally's life. This dark speedster knows his secret identity and his occupation. Now dubbed "Dark Flash", kills Iris West, and enrages Wally so much that Wally goes back in time to save Iris, but is sent to the future, and learns the Dark Flash is Barry Allen, determined to save him, Wally travels to the time before Barry lost control, and quells him. Through all of this, Wally still wonders, how is Barry alive? Wally returns to the future, where he finds Barry Allen alive.

In fall 2026, The Batman: Part II releases. In this movie, Barbara becomes Batgirl and Bruce meets Jason and he becomes Robin. Hugo Strange is the main villain, along with Killer Croc and Man-Bat. By the end, Strange creates the Monster Men out of the residents of Crime Alley, which is Jason's home. Jason creates an antidote an saves everyone. In the aftermath, Jason finds his parents dead from the monster virus. Nightwing helps in the final fight.

In December 2026, a new show called Kyle Rayner: Green Lantern releases. Kyle is recruited because all of the Corps has been wiped out by the former Green Lantern, Parallax, aka Hal Jordan and he is the last hope for the corp. By the end of the series, Hal sees the error of his ways, and revives the whole corp and the Guardians using pure will power, though, this kills him in turn.

In spring 2027, the final movie before Justice League will release, titled Aquaman: King of Atlantis. Orm is the main villain trying to reclaim the throne of Atlantis, but Arthur stops him. By the end of the movie, Orm sends a massive flood along the East Coast, and Aquaman helps out in Metropolis, meeting Superman for the first time.

In summer 2027, Justice League will release. This will loosely adapt JLA: Year One. It's revealed in this movie that Earth has a very storied history with heroes. The JSA were active during WW2 and were the predominant heroes for the next four decades. Over the course of three weeks, seven pale white aliens descend upon Earth. Once an eighth descends, the seven heroes who fought the previous ones unite together. Aquaman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Flash, Batman, Superman, and The Martian Manhunter. These seven heroes decide to come together to form the Justice League. With a new mysterious investor, everyone is on high alert. Suddenly, Ma'alafa'ak descends to Earth. He is J'onn's brother and he sent the white martians to Earth. Ma'alafa'ak quickly defeats the League one by one in their personal lives, and once they return to the Hall of Justice, they discover J'onn had detailed files on each of them and all the heroes of Earth. The League quickly jump to the conclusion J'onn aided Ma'alafa'ak and he leaves, disgraced. Batman and Superman do not believe this, though, considering their previous experiences with J'onn. Later, Ma'alafa'k sends more White Martians to Earth, and the League traces them to the Everglades. There, they find J'onn operating the device that teleports the White Martians to Earth, and begin to fight him. Batman tries to disable it, but lights and massive fire spreading to the surrounding trees and rendering J'onn immoble. J'onn explains he is innocent and explains everything. The League unites and J'onn overcomes his fear of fire. Ma'alafa'ak is defeated. The movie heavily explores the League's interpersonal relations.

What would your pitch for a "New MCU" be?

Essentially a perfect MCU. Now I'm not talking about a post-Secret Wars scenario (though that would be interesting) or a what if where Marvel has all the rights from the beginning (where in that scenario the Avengers get ignored). But what if there was a universe properly including as many characters as possible? I'll go first

Would love to here your thoughts on my universe and what you would do for your universe.
