August 2026 帰化 (Naturalization) – Has anyone been approved or received a call from the bureau

● Has anyone from Chiba Legal Affairs Bureau recently received a decision or call?
● If you were approved, did the 法務局 call you before your name appeared in the 官報, or did you find out from the 官報 first?
Is there a 帰化許可 section in this month’s 官報?

Any advice😌

I don’t know if my naturalization application has already been rejected.
I have been living in Japan for 11 years, and I applied for naturalization after completing 10 years of residence. During my interview, my case officer interviewed me for about one and a half hours. The language test only covered hiragana and katakana there was no kanji at all, and I’m not sure why.
She also said she wanted to interview my spouse, but since my spouse cannot speak Japanese, she ended up asking only one question: whether my spouse supports my naturalization application.
It has now been five months since the interview, and they haven’t asked me to submit any additional documents. There has only been one interview, and they have not contacted my company or conducted a home visit.
Based on these circumstances, do you think this is a sign that my application has been rejected?

Has anyone received good news recently?🥹

Has anyone been granted Japanese naturalization or received a confirmation call recently?
If so, could you please share your timeline and which Legal Affairs Bureau handled your application? It would really help those of us who are still waiting.

Is this gonna be a problem?

Is there going to be any problem if my daughter and I travel to our home country while we are waiting for the naturalization decision?
We applied for naturalization in 2025 September and had our interviews in February, but we still haven’t received any answer.
My wife’s parents have been waiting to see their granddaughter, but we still haven’t been able to visit because we’re afraid it could affect our application. They want to spend time with her while she is still this young, especially since she is their first grandchild.
We don’t know what to do. We want to see our family, but we’re worried that traveling while our naturalization application is still under review might cause problems.

Swissport japan narita work experience

My husband works for Swissport Japan .Every single day, he gives everything he has to his job. His shift is from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.—a long, exhausting 12-hour shift.
What breaks my heart is that even when the entire team finishes all of their work by 11:20 p.m., they are still forced to stay until midnight. They are not allowed to leave, even though there is nothing left to do. Then, when the shift finally ends, managers simply tell them to run and catch the last train at 12:09 a.m., as if their health, safety, and well-being don’t matter.
Why? If the work is finished, why make people sit and wait just to watch the clock? What purpose does it serve other than adding unnecessary stress and exhaustion?
Employees are human beings. They have families waiting for them, they are physically exhausted, and they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect—not as if they are disposable.
A workplace should care about the mental and physical health of its employees, not push them to their limits. Productivity should never come at the cost of humanity.
Sometimes it feels like kindness and compassion have disappeared from the workplace. No one should have to choose between their well-being and keeping their job. Respecting workers costs nothing, but it means everything.

Hi guys any good news from anyone? Have you got your naturalisation recently?

Hi. I submitted my naturalization documents in September, and my interview was completed in February. Since then, my 담당 (case officer) hasn’t told me that I need another interview or any additional documents. He only said, “It will take a few months” (数ヶ月かかります).

I’m wondering why they haven’t contacted me. Also, if they try to call my company, what will happen? The contact person whose phone number I provided has already retired.

Recent Naturalization Rejections in Japan

Has anyone here been rejected for Japanese naturalization recently?

If so, would you mind sharing the reason (if you're comfortable doing so)? I'm trying to better understand what kinds of issues may lead to a rejection, such as taxes, pension payments, residence history, or other factors.

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience.

My residence card was expiring in April, so I applied for the renewal in February and received the new card on April 17. After that, I went to update for my My Number Card because it is linked to my health insurance card.

The staff member told me it would take about one month for the My Number Card to arrive. I asked what would happen if I got sick during that month and could not use my insurance. She said I should have applied one month earlier.

But how could I apply earlier without having my renewed residence card ? Is there any solution?
