Old photo I found from the pandemic days. Taken in July when restrictions were loosened.

3 years post surgery

Hey everyone, sometime poster here. Been sporadically posting about my recovery.

Quick intro: I'm 40 and I tore my left ACL fully three years ago during a rugby game (the one game I got to be captain!) and got a full reconstruction using my left quad autograft. Did about 6 months physio and then my twins were born so had to go full dad mode. I've been steadily going to the gym this year and thought I was ready for rugger again, two trainings in wearing a full knee brace something pulled and I couldn't run. Thankfully it wasn't the ACL, but my physio said the surrounding structure still can't handle sudden load spikes, so gonna have to postpone getting back to the pitch for a year.

Pictured you see the barbell ready for staggered leg RDLs. They're so annoying but some of the best things you can do.

Keep at it, we're all on a journey!
