Hi everyone! I purchased this tree back in early March. I’m excited to see how fast this tree is growing and sprouting new leaves every week! However, my mother tree has gifted me with two pups. I’ve read that you should keep pups attached until they’re 1-2 feet long and then propagate. I’ve also seen others suggest to keep the pups attached. Wouldn’t that eventually kill off the mother plant?

As you can see, the bigger pup has grown significantly within the past 3 weeks, while the second pup is slow.

Any advice to a first time banana tree owner? Should I propagate within the next month or let them be?
