Main Story Complete — How much is left?
Hi all,
I finally got to Room 46 at Day 29. I might have been able to do it sooner if I hadn't had awful room draws for three or four days straight (I couldn't even get past row 4!) and if I'd understood that: (1) The doors to the Antechamber don't stay open every day; and (2) Not all three doors to the Antechamber have to be opened in order to open Room 46.
I admit that I had to look up one hint along the way. It was for the dartboard puzzle. I only googled because I'm colourblind and I was so stuck thinking that the colours were of major significance and I was so frustrated about not being able to tell some of them apart (cyan and magenta) that it didn't even register to me that I could do everything just solely based on which parts of the board were lit up.
I also have no idea how I managed to operate the Pump Room... I was stuck there for ages thinking it was some variation of the 5-gallon/3-gallon jug riddle from Die Hard 3 that I kind of just blundered my way into draining the pool and getting the other rooms to full water supply. I still have no idea what this achieved other than letting me get more gold whenever I draw the pool. I have spat at that room every time I've drafted it ever since.
In any case, I now am wondering how much more gameplay I can expect beyond the 24 hours I've put in. Is it a couple more to resolve everything, or can I dump another 10, 20, 30 hours into the game?
In case it helps to gauge what I have left to do, some of the many questions I haven't been able to answer yet (I'm not looking for answers to the questions, just an idea of how long it'll take me to find out myself):
- What is the data transfer we can get from SYNKA?
- Where do I find a complete copy of the book about realm sigils that has what isn't included in the version in the Precipice, and are the sigils useful for anything other than that one puzzle in the Underground area?
- Where is the Secret Garden?
- How to get the Laboratory to power on (I've tried flipping the levers in the order that the puzzle says, but nothing happens)?
- What does the chess puzzle in the Precipice unlock? (I haven't figured out which room corresponds to the Queen yet.)
- Can I draw the water level in the reservoir low enough to look in that tunnel near the docks?
- What is the the purpose of that one very narrow passage to the left on the way to where the North door lever is located in the Underground?
- When does all the lore about the different realms I meticulously noted come into play?
- How exactly was my family involved with whatever criminal stuff I keep finding records about? Who were the people threatening Herbert? What was the chauffeur coordinating clandestine deliveries of? Detective Bon Margle WHOMST?!
I've also included the list of trophies I've collected so far in case that progress helps with the above. I'll add that I'm not really a completionist; I'm more interested in the story than the rewards.
