NAPLEX is a minimum competency test, only if
To ease the anxiety of some people: If you did well in school and on rotations, the NAPLEX is honestly not hard. I took the exam for the first time recently and passed.
For my studying of the actual exam, I studied 4 weeks, 6 hours per day by reading the RX Prep book. I only did the math and biostats questions from the UWorld question bank, which was like a total of 200 questions out of 3000. I didn't take any practice exams or tests prior to the NAPLEX. The NAPLEX itself was pretty spread out in terms of content, but for my exam, it was heavier on the following:
- Vaccines
- Endocrine (diabetes)
- Neurology
- Psychiatry
- Cardiology
I wouldn't recommend to do what I did in terms of studying, but again, if you were strong in school and on rotations, I would not worry too much.
